We are 4 miles from Circuit of the Americas, 8 miles from McKinney Falls, 30 minutes from downtown Austin, 30 minutes from the outlet malls in San Marcos, or you can just hang out on the property and enjoy the pool, the patios, the goats, and the flowers. I know that a glance at the map might give an impression that this place isn't close to much of anything except the COTA. And it IS close to that and the motif is perfect for race fans. But with the access to the toll roads (if one is inclined to use them - and I am) makes this a good place that is relatively remote and peaceful (mostly - more on that in a moment) yet strategically located. What I mean by that is those toll roads can put you on a westbound course into most parts of Austin allowing one to bypass some of the traffic headache the city is now as famous for as it is live music.The place is nicely appointed and well-kept. It is comfortable and the process with the host couldn't be smoother. If I were to offer any criticisms, they are probably relatively minor and easily fixed. The first - there is a flock of mosquitoes that congregate right outside the door to the unit and when one opens the door, those bloodhogs fly in and feast all night. I don't know if that is easily fixed but it seems like it would be. The second was a little more impactful for us. We had just driven 7 hours in and I was hoping to catch a nap before a long awaited (13 YEARS) concert in south Austin. This was not to be. I assume it was guests in another unit perhaps, but they were playing their music out by the pool and it was LOUD. Obviously swimming was out - but so was a nap. A little consideration for others would perhaps make this a "Oasis" instead of an EDM rave. No nap that day. ##### Keith M. Our kids (8 & 9) fell in love with the animals onsite.Hosts were very helpful when we ran into issues with the keys. I will say this is not an ideal place to stay if anyone in your party is very tall, due to low ceilings in the sleeping areas and shower.
