The boulders prevented us from sitting on the beach unless we wanted to be behind the boulders which would obstruct the view of the water. Jekyll Island itself is beautiful and has a lot to do. ##### Robin L. If I would have noticed that there was a door inside the unit that separates this unit from the neighbor, I likely would not have stayed. I have not had good personal experiences with rooms like that, and I like my privacy (don't like hearing someone else's TV.. coughing, etc). The sound traveled very easily between the door and frame, and I suggest putting some weather stripping around it to dampen the sound. First night was ok, just a lot of banging stuff around next door but second night I barely was able to sleep because of all of the partying next door until 5am.. and when we finally fell asleep we woke up to people screaming at each other at sunrise. It was so loud it sounded like they were in the room with us. We considered leaving in the middle of the night... But were too tired to pack. Overall it's a nice place though and a little weather stripping/edge insulation around both inside doors would lessen the chances of a bad experience like this again. ##### christian l.
