"I am from the Soo and know the area and the lodging choices. We were traveling with 2 Golden Retrievers, and if they are not welcome, we are not welcome! The Last Resort is a GREAT place! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and the cutest little bait shop. I actually purchased a few great souvenirs; they sell the cutest fishing t-shirts. I bought a t-shirt for everyone I know, the Ts were $9.95! There is plenty of grass for walking your dog. We will be staying there again~~"

"We recently stayed for six wonderful days at this property. The house was amazing! The hosts were very promt in replying to inquires and the property showed that they care about the renters' experience. The hosts obviously take pride in their property. The house was spotlessly clean and there was tons of parking space. The property is not on the Lake Superior shore and therefore there is some question as to who owns the beach. There is a public access a very short walk from the house but we were told by the owner of a beachfront residence that it was not a public beach and that we could not sit on their sand. He told us to go further down the beach where there is a spit of sand jutting into the lake. I don't know the law on this so we just moved to the spit and had a great time on a beautiful beach. We would definately go back."
