To start, the employee at check-in was cold and unwelcoming - no smile, no warmth. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, assuming maybe we caught him at a bad time. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a fridge and microwave, which was appreciated. However, our room was right by the road, and another guest spent the entire evening working on his car just a few feet from our door. It didn’t bother us too much, but it certainly wasn’t the most peaceful setting. The real frustration came the next morning. We waited over seven minutes for the shower water to warm up - not hot, just barely warm. Then we went to breakfast at 7:05 a.m., only to find the doors still locked. When they finally opened, there was no hot breakfast as advertised. No waffles, no eggs - just a few scones, some sort of white sauce, and a quarter pot of lukewarm coffee. When we politely mentioned our disappointment, the same employee from check-in (clearly not a morning person either) was rude and dismissive. After some back and forth, he finally asked how many waffles we wanted - one each - and he made them, as if controlling our portions. Especially close to silver dollar city. Room was simple, looks pretty clean generally, some small details says otherwise, like pillow stains, fridge smells etc, room dosen't smell though, that's a relief. Not sound proof, but the AC voice block out small noise generally. Had a fridge and microwave, simple room at affordable price. Very limited breakfast option but better than nothing. Had waffle machine, toast, cereal, coffee, orange and apple juice. The gravy and muffin kinda weird nobody is touching those. Room was great. Big tub was just what we needed after a long day. The night time staff was amazing. The room was drafty, curtain was in poor shape, minimal blankets so it was cold sleeping, two flat pillows. Was asked if we needed room service for the following day (we stayed two nights) and i said "no" and the attendant said "good because i dont have one tomorrow". Interesting stay. The breakfast was not good. The suites (We rented three for our extended family!), were clean, easy to access, allowed a service animal, convenient to where we spend the most time when we were down here and we LOVE the jetted tubs!!! The young lady that checked up in was very nice and accommodating. There was at least one thing not right about our rooms (we had three as this was a family trip) and she did her best to make things right. There was another man there that should probably consider changing jobs. He wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to like people very much. Not great when you work at a motel. The rooms have always been clean and the beds are comfortable. If you're going to Silver Dollar City it's approximately a 5-7 minute drive. The room was perfect: clean room and bathroom. The room had a big refrigerator, microwave, and extra sink with a garbage disposal. It was perfect for our stay and our chihuahua enjoyed it as well. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
