More than just a hotel, Spruce Point is a waterfront resort. There are two restaurants on site, two pools (a heated pool near the back of the property and a second pool ocean-side), kayaks, giant chess, and more. As a family of 5 we appreciate that the family-sized rooms have a pull out couch and ample space. We weren’t on top of each other other despite all of us in one room. Check in was a little bumpy. Our room wasn’t ready until almost 5 (check in was 4:00) on the hottest day of the year and with no offer to have our kids change for the pool anywhere, they changed in the car. The girls at the desk were apathetic at best, but another woman who was there the second to me we went was at least trying to be empathetic to our situation. When we finally got to our room the AC unit started spitting water out onto the floor and the tv. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes and fixed it. Top ratings for the maintenance guy!

Loved the pool and natural surroundings. Staff was friendly. Our room was very dated and in need of update. Patio door difficult to operate. Television did not work, no signal. Maintenance tried to fix but I don’t think there was a fix to it. Did not like the Murphy bed setup. No headboard to sit up in bed to read, watch tv. No end tables by the bed. We just felt this was a strange setup. Overall though we enjoyed our stay.
