The room was pretty nice and recently updated. Not sure if it was just that famous New Jersey smell that always lingers or if it was just my room but it kind of smelled a bit like a wet dog. Things were nice and seemed clean otherwise.

Wasn’t sure what expect for the price. From the outside looks like most roadside motels. The staff was accommodating. Check in was simple and early in the day which is nice. The rooms were small but very clean and nicely updated. Definitely worth the price.

Clean and Convenient
Stayed for 4 nights during the German Christmas Market show. Not much to look at from the outside but Very nice and clean rooms. Small but perfect for one or two people. The manager was easy to get in touch with if I needed anything and very accommodating. Only critique - it could use a small coffee maker. Will stay again

The motel was easy to book, but I found it to be strange with the whole contactless check in. And when we arrived to the property, it kind of looked abandoned and not kept up. BUT when we entered the code that Joseph had given us and we got in the room, it was so nice! We got the room with the king bed, and the place was clean enough!! We were very pleased with our stay! The contactless check in was easy and convenient, and I was only hesitant because I had never experienced that before! We would definitely stay there again! And Joseph was so quick with responding to our texts and delivering new towels and stuff! Thank you for the cheap and nice stay! They have a medium size fridge/freezer, and a POWERFUL microwave! Tables, chairs and cozy blankets! The bed was comfortable! But there was no coffee machine! And there was a coffee place across the street with breakfast and lunch foods! And a Mexican restaurant next door, and a park a couple miles down the road! We found the location perfect for where we were going and what we were doing!

Dangerous and a violation. The smoke detector had been removed. Noticed it right before going to sleep. Walls are paper thin. Big party next door. Not my cup of tea.

We regret to learn that you did not enjoy your stay. Unfortunately a previous guest removed the alarm and if you would mention it to us we would immediately have replaced it with a brand new alarm. From the first time I saw this motel I knew I had to stay here! We were visiting Blairstown and going on the Camp Crystal Lake Tour. We also traveled a bit to visit the Silverball Retro Arcade at Asbury Park Beach and the American Dream Mall. The room was just as cute as I hoped it would be! Joseph was very helpful over the phone with an issue I had with my credit card. My only suggestions are to put on mattress protectors that fit completely over the mattress. We stay at a lot of hotels and it just makes me feel better, but it’s just my preference. And to include a bathroom rug, the floor got very slippery. We would definitely stay again if we ever had the need to come back to the area!

As someone with allergies, this place was on the dustier side in important areas. Headboard, behind the bed, side table and on lamps. I’m also particular about hair in showers. There was no toilet tissue in the room. Other than that, the staff was accommodating, the place is convenient. Simple fixes and it would be perfect. I wound up extending my stay because the issues weren’t major. *update to respond since you opted not to answer the email I’ll elaborate since you inquired: we stayed because it was inconvenient to leave after we checked in. Once checked in, we didn’t want the dust to get in our sheets and in the air since we are both sensitive to dust especially that amount coming from the dirty air conditioner filter (needs to be washed occasionally and clearly hadn’t been). I checked under the sink, there was NO TOILET TISSUE, last resort was asking my husband to get it from the staff. I showered in flip flops to avoid the hair. I didn’t even mention the bath towels smelled like a mixture of mold and smoke. You didn’t look the room over prior but you are defending the state it was in. I said it wasn’t that bad so we stayed and instead of looking into the issues, you are saying we should look elsewhere, which screams you’re making enough money to insult guests instead of fixing the minor issues. Which is why you only respond to what you think are negative reviews like this is a Facebook group argument instead of treating me like a paying guest.

Dear Guest Tanisha.Upon you raising your concern about dust in the room our manager immediately asked if he can check the room and double clean the room, if necessary. You denied.We just received another of your review in our system motel Rolling Hills. It is absolutely clear that you love to complain but failed to check out on time and were rude and disrespectful to our employees. As a result, you are blacklisted in all 3 of our motels in the area.

The pictures on Expedia do not accurately reflect the property, however, it was a clean room, close to what I wanted and was a good price for the area. Cozy, Comfy & Quaint - Mini Resort
We stayed overnight for a concert/festival that was going on at the Sussex Fair Grounds. First of all let me just tell you how sweet & patient Marina was while processing my information via text, it has ben awhile since we could get away. Do not judge a book by it's cover...the outside is nothing fancy, but well kept. Entering our room, I immediately thought cozy, comfy, & quaint...& very, very clean. It was like our own little resort. Very nicely decorated, down to the tile in the shower, definitely had a woman's touch. Towels color coordinated with the room, not those stiff bleached white towels you find in other hotels. The bed was comfortable, a/c was perfect, large screen TV, nice to find a decent size fridge in the room & a small but efficient retro microwave. This place is a hidden gem. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. I thank you again for your hospitality and patience...we had a lovely time.

The property is currently being renovated one room at a time. We stayed 4 nights in a room with one queen bed. It worked for our needs. The room was clean, had a working sink/shower and AC. We have never been to this area so we had no idea what we were walking into with this hotel but the room was the size of a shoe box, had tons of ants and bugs, and the bed was pushed up against the wall so one of us (my husband or myself) had to crawl over the bed to get in and out. Dear Michelle,You stayed in a motel where door opens to outside. We always ask our guests to keep doors closed to avoid any insects to crawl in or to fly in. Its a rural area surrounded by grass and trees. We perform thorough cleaning, disinfection and our motel gets sprayed from outside. Unfortunately, when a guest has door open and spills a sweet drink on the floor we notice that a bug may crawl in or fly in. It does not mean we have an issue. We are 100% bedbug free and do not have any infestations. We regret that you found your accommodations "Just okay". Perhaps you are not from this area and not familiar with local prices and types of accommodations.
