A top Bom Jesus do Monte. Very quiet at night and very limited dining options without driving. If you are looking for active nightlife, this is not the hotel for you. We had a suite and loved the room.

Hotel in a very beautiful spot overlooking Bom Jesus but limited dining options available (particularly if you’re vegetarian). Continental breakfast fairly basic but does the job. Staff were super helpful on reception and housekeeping do a good job.

The property is ok but 4 stars seem like a stretch. Shower lets all the water come out from under the door(an accident waiting to happen) and we could not lower the temp in the room. We had to turn off the AC and open the window. Staff was corteous and professional.

A Hotel with a view.
The location of the hotel is right next to the Bom Jesus church, tranquil and serene overlooking the city. Staff is generally friendly. Room is clean and modern, comfortable except for a constant humming sound from a neon light transformer. Breakfast is plentiful. I am impressed by the orange machine that squeezes real oranges. Dinning is in another building. Food is top notch. Service is perfect. My wife and I have been travelling across Portugal for ten days, this surrounding is the best!

Is excelente very quiet property , Bon Jesus is in the area and is a fantastic view and great experience away from the city of brega it has beautiful Park , it is on the Mont of Bon Jesús , restaurantes-bar in the área delicious food .

Hotel with a great location and view
Great location for Easter. The hotel is right next to the basilica that is considered one of the holiest places in Portugal. The hotel is at the highest point in the area with great views of Braga.

Loved the hotel, location and price, only issue I had was the 7.30 check in. It ended up not being a problem as the reception looked after my bag before check in and was at reception after 11.30 pm when I arrived. All staff were very helpful, thank you

Greeted and quickly checked into our room. Very nice with direct view of the Cathedral and fountain in the back. Unfortunately, the air conditioner did not work and the room was very hot. We were moved next door but that air conditioner did not work either. The room cooled with the window open and we had a very pleasant sleep.

Comfortable quite relaxing stay
Excellent hotel. Good breakfast for 5 euros. Just by the church on the hill. About 10 euros taxi ride from braga city center. Mostly used if attending weddings in the church besides otherwise far away from the town

The location was quiet and peaceful. Very clean hotel. Got to meet SC Braga manager there. Only negative was shower and sink area in room. Water switched from hot to cold for no reason and it was not obvious how to use bathroom facilities

A 2 night stay in Braga
We arrived around midday but the room was not ready and they stuck to the 16:00hrs check in time. On arriving in the room we were struck by the slightly odd bathroom arrangement comprising of cubicles for the toilet and the shower, but the sink was outside and seperated from the bedroom by a slatted screen which offered little privacy so this may not suit all travellers. There is no in-room safe but you can deposit valuables in the reception safe which we did without any problems. The room was clean and a good size with excellent views of Bom Jesus and the surrounding gardens. A significant drawback to this hotel is the lack of restaurant for evening meals but the barman went out of his way to supply us with a plate of cold meats and cheeses despite being rushed off his feet serving a wedding party. (There is a restaurant across the grounds but we didn't try it). The breakfast was plentiful with the usual continental choice of cold meats, cheeses, etc. Scrambled egg and bacon was available also. The hotel is immediately adjacent to the Bom Jesus cathedral and the Elevador (a funicular railway) which takes you down to the bus stop. From here, a bus runs regularly into the town centre and only costs a couple of euros each way. I don't think we're likely to go back to Braga as its attraction is limited but if we were to return I would be willing to rebook this hotel.

What a beauty! This place is a must see. So peaceful and absolutely stunning views from the top. The hotel itself is amongst all that beauty. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with my husband. It’s a must see and stay.

The location was perfect, the room was small for 3 peoples. The 3rd bed for our daughter 16 was a folding bed, too small. The bathroom has no privacy.

Nice hotel outside of the city.
Overall, this is a good hotel. It’s located in a big park, one of several hotels in a group. Rooms are not big, but are OK. Bathrooms are a little strange in that the toilet and shower our part of the room, separated by glass doors. At least they’re frosted glass. Breakfast is OK. There is a nice selection of cheeses, and of course the Portuguese bread is sensational. That’s true all over the country, however. If you’re staying for more than just a couple of days, the breakfast starts disappointing in that there is no variety whatsoever from day to day. A big issue is the coffee, which is terrible.Rather than real coffee, they have a machine that uses instant coffee and dried milk. I expect better from a four-star hotel. Parking Is ample and free,, and the views are quite good. Although it is outside of the city, it is still convenient assuming you have a car. Without a car, forget it. If you want a relaxing stay outside of the city, this is the place for you.

The views were worth it!
The Hotel location and grounds were spectacular and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room however was well used and needed some work. The A/C & heater fan was noisy, the toilet set was broken at one of the hinges and the carpet was very dirty. We contacted the front dest regarding the toilet seat. The said the would contact maintenance. I wasn't fixed before we left....overall the it was a good stay.

Really great location near to Bom Jesus do Monte and the hotel seemed nice, but our room itself was worn down (marks on walls, stained carpet, wood in bathroom flaking off). We were only there for 1 night and didn't really mind any of these issues since they didn't affect our comfort. Overall, our stay was fine.

The hotel is very clean with good staff. The location is excellent. The land surrounding the hotel is very nice with lots to do including going for a canoe ride or a nice walk in the park. I can't wait to go back. and spend more time here.

Doors close at night, if you go out and return late you'll have to knock on the doors loud enough to awake the receptionist so he/she can open the doors for you. No slippers in the rooms.

Great location Good for a one day stay
We booked this as an overnight stop only and it suited that need. I would not stay there for any longer as the hotel was not to our taste. Firstly no restaurant in the hotel, no tea or coffee making equipment in the room and lastly the way that the toilet and shower are located in the bedroom with just a glass door to separate them is not very private.
