About the Cottage:
Nestled on a private, small island in the heart of Muskoka, our charming one-bedroom cottage offers a peaceful retreat for two people. Perched on a rock, it offers panoramic views of the beautiful Muskoka River. Every room is filled with natural light thanks to large windows, offering scenic views of the lush green surroundings.

Relax on the dock and enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets with a cozy blanket and a cup of coffee. This tranquil environment is perfect for anyone looking to escape into nature.

Cottage Features:
Bedroom: Spacious and bright with a double bed, ample storage, and four windows offering scenic views. An extra double mattress is available for added comfort.

Living Room: Features a mid-century lounge set (2 chairs and a couch), along with a small dining table for two. The entryway includes a modern bench with storage underneath.

Bathroom: Green-friendly compost toilet, a lovely vanity, and a shower with a handheld showerhead. Instructions for using the compost toilet will be provided.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with a fridge, two conduction stove-tops, and a small toaster oven.

Outdoor & Water Access:
Dock & Water Activities: Enjoy a spacious dock for relaxation or to launch water activities. Two life jackets, two paddles, and a small yellow paddleboat are provided for your use. The water-loading dock is just a 2-3 minute boat ride away, and a 5-minute drive from the cottage, making it easy to bring your own boat.

Outside Storage: There is space under the cottage for storing your summer gear.

Location:
The drive to the charming downtown Bracebridge is only 10-12 minutes, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, local events, and even a movie theater. Essential services such as a hospital and fire station are also nearby. Everything you need is just a short drive away.

Rental Terms:
Maximum Occupancy: 2 people (no exceptions).

Duration: 5-month rental (ideal for a long-term summer and fall stay).

No Subletting: Subletting or allowing additional guests to stay while you’re away is strictly prohibited.

Noise Sensitivity: The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood. Please respect the peace and tranquility of the area.

No Pets or Small Children: Due to the nature of the space, we are unable to accommodate small children or pets.

No Smoking: Absolutely no indoor smoking of any kind.

Waste Disposal: All garbage must be taken to the top of Anderson Street for weekly pickups. Please do not litter on the island or in the river.

Drinking Water:
Similar to many cottages along the river, the water is sourced directly from the river and is filtered through an effective cleaning and UV light process, making it safe for use in the kitchen and washroom. For drinking water, we recommend purchasing bottled water from the grocery store.

Important Rules:
No parties or additional guests allowed.

Respect the noise sensitivities of the neighborhood.

Follow compost toilet instructions carefully (instructions will be provided).

No smoking indoors.

Ensure that all garbage is taken to the designated pickup location.
