Tala'a Kebira is one of the two main thoroughfares, bustling with activity, leading to various craft shops, eateries, and historical sites like the Al-Attarine Madrasa. The Bab Bou Jeloud gate serves as a major entry point and is easily recognisable by its ornate blue and green tiles.Couples looking for a romantic and culturally rich experience will find staying in the medina perfect. Many guesthouses, known as riads, offer beautifully restored traditional Moroccan homes with courtyards and rooftop terraces, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. You're within walking distance of attractions like the Chouara Tannery and the Nejjarine Museum of Wood Arts and Crafts. For travellers who appreciate a more accessible and structured environment, the Ville Nouvelle, or "New City," offers a different experience. This area, developed during the French protectorate, has wider streets, modern shops, and contemporary hotels.

The best time to visit Bourd is during spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is most pleasant for sightseeing.During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, with less humidity and a lower chance of rain compared to other seasons. This makes exploring Bourd's Medina and surrounding areas much more enjoyable, as you can spend extended periods outdoors without the discomfort of extreme heat or cold. For those who prefer cooler weather and fewer crowds, late autumn into early winter (November to February) can also be a good option. Temperatures are cooler, around 10°C to 18°C, but still quite mild for exploring. However, there's a slightly higher chance of rain during these months.Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find spring particularly appealing, with blooming gardens and comfortable evenings superb for dining al fresco.
