A great find, very cozy, but not chintzy at all. Rooms comfortable, very quiet neighborhood, parking available, very close to the T, nice walkable, downtown, easy to get to, nice breakfast, helpful but unintrusive hosts, and an adorable cat!
This was my second stay at Morrison House in the last six months. What a great place, the hosts are very nice, the location super convenient and the accommodations were very comfortable. I’ll be going back.
Great, quiet experience. Loved the housecat (who is not allowed in rooms due to allergy concerns). Really liked Davis Square nearby.

Staff provided this help when asking for directions "Google it". Was not allowed to have air conditioning because the remotes were put up for the season. Breakfast consists of hard-boiled eggs, cereal, a pastry, and coffee. For the amount of money, it was not worth it.

When asked for directions I did not say "Google it." They wanted to go to Salem. I said they need to catch the commuter rail from North Station and that they could find the commuter rail schedule on mbta.com. And, I directed them to take the redline to Park street and catch the green line to North Station. I'm not sure what else I could have done.Yes, we put the AC remotes away in the fall to avoid conflicts with the heating system. It was 60 deg. outside and they could have simply opened a window. We do provide a continental-plus breakfast with excellent ingredients. Not mentioned were cut up fresh fruit, yogurt, sourdough or other quality bread with all-fruit jam and all peanut peanut butter. The coffee is starbucks cafe verona brewed in a french press. We provide thorough information about out rooms, breakfast, and service on our website, and we transmit it to our OTA partners as well. I'm sorry they were disappointed. btw., we offered to mail them some items they left behind. I'm not sure how many establishments do that for their guests, but I suspect not many.
the location was perfect- brought me back to my happy place when i lived in Somerville 25 years ago!
parking was a huge plus, the inn itself was just beautiful inside and out, the feline was the most adorable zany little meatball, and Linde baked the best Irish soda bread i have ever had. EVER.
i stayed in the Little Room, proof that they make even the smallest space comfortable.
one note- the bed has a huge pillowtop, so it is on the softer side for those that need to know.
pick HERE- you will thank me for it.
Ron and Linde made our stay like staying at home. The best part is breakfast; they freshly make different bakery every day, together with fruit salad, yogurt, sourdough bread, variant juices, boiled eggs, their breakfast is even better than what we have at home. Their dinning and living rooms are always welcoming to guests. Sometimes their lovely cat would stay there accompanying you for a while too.
The house is bit old, like every other houses in that area. But they make it very clean. The location is very good, half mile away from Davis square. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Boston again.
It was a nice place to stay but no ESPN and the breakfast was lacking. Owners were not home. But Maria was great. Stairs were steep and narrow which made it a little hard for us.
I can’t think of a better or more accommodating place to stay for my first Boston Marathon. It’s relaxing. The breakfast was amazing. The area is lovely. The subway is about 200 ft away. Highly recommended!
I liked the historical nature of the property. The hosts are gracious! Breakfast was delicious!
My only suggestion might be stools to get into high beds.
Thank you!
We had a very nice stay, and you can't beat the proximity to Davis Square. Very comfortable.

Quiet place to stay and close to the Train. The shower in the Boston Room needs repair. We were not able to have a decent shower due to not being able to adjust the water temperature properly.

It would have been nice to have been told there was a problem so we could fix it.
The house is nice, but the owners don’t interact very much and it’s not very welcoming. Also, it’s just a very simple serve yourself continental breakfast. It was a huge loss not having a prepared breakfast which is a main component of a bed and breakfast. It was in a great area but probably wouldn’t stay again.
We stayed here for a long weekend. It was a short walk to the subway. The owners were helpful in providing information. The property is super cute and a comfortable stay. Somerville is nice area with plenty of food options and obviously quick subway/train stops away from tons of places. I would absolutely choose to stay here again over other options.

Easy to get to city centre and delicious breskfast
It was a great place to stay but disappointed with the welcome and the “housekeeping” which only entailed emptying the bins.
We stayed in Davis room for two nights when we sent my son back to college. Feel like a home and not a hotel!! Nice and clean. Lovely food and fresh fruits for breakfast. Excellent service! Best location, near the Red Line Davis Square subway stop which is only two stops away from Harvard University. Will definitely come back when we are in Boston area. Highly recommended!
A great area in quaint Somerville. Clean, safe and lots of restaurants/coffee shops along with a famous cinema in the neighborhood. Near the Red Line Davis Square subway stop which is only three stops away from Harvard University and MIT.
Lovely visit to Somerville/Medford for Tufts reunion, and The Morrison House was a delightful and convenient place to stay. And the house cat is adorable.
