Welcome to Blackberry Vista, an incredible 7 bedroom cabin nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, set atop the Eastern Continental Divide. Built on 10 acres of beautiful mountain terrain, the 6,000 sqft custom cabin has some of the best long-range views in the high country with over 2,500 feet of deck space to enjoy and an abundance of privacy. The family room has a wood-burning stone fireplace and wonderful mountain views and also contains one of two master bedrooms, complete with an en suite bath and oversized closet. The bedroom is equipped with a king bed set and a flat-screen TV. The master bath, in addition to jack and jill sinks and a renovated shower, has a free-standing soaking tub. Upper Level: The upper level has an additional two bedrooms, and share a second bath. The room on the western side of the house has a king bed set, along with a flat-screen TV and panoramic mountain views. On the eastern side of the house, Blackberry Vista's 3rd bedroom contains a twin over a full bunk bed and a crib. Also located on the upper level, along with the two bedrooms, is the entertainment loft. A 75 inch TV, with video game consoles and comfortable seating, is situated next to a wooden game table, perfect for a late-night poker game. Two of the couches in the loft pull out into queen beds (if extra space is needed). Lower Level: Blackberry Vista's lower level contains the home's other 4 bedrooms, as well as two full baths. The second master, in the northern corner of the house, has a king bed set, en suite bath, and flat screen TV. The 8-foot sliding glass door leads out to a private patio, surrounded by a wooded garden and firepit. Two other suites on the lower floor each have king bed sets and direct mountain views. The final room downstairs is usually the choice of our younger guests...featuring a twin over twin bunk and a twin loft bed that doubles as a fort for the little mountaineers to enjoy. There is also another crib in this room. The secondary living room is located on the bottom floor as well, with ample seating and a custom electric fireplace and 75 inch TV mounted on the floor-to-ceiling stone mantle. Beyond the bedrooms, on Blackberry Vista's lower level, there is a movie theater decorated with vintage theater curtains and carpet. The 7 oversized leather recliners and 85 in movie screen with surround sound make for an incredible experience. On the northern wing of the lower level, the cabin also contains a 4 person sauna, perfect for relaxing in the wintertime. Blackberry Vista's most impressive feature, which is located back on the main floor, might be the 900 square foot garage arcade and game room. Complete with an array of options to keep any family busy, the arcade contains a pool table, shuffleboard, air hockey, ping pong, multiple skee-ball tables, bubble hockey, and an assortment of arcade games! (Please note: we are unable to guarantee 100% of the items are functional at all times, as from time to time we may have one or two items in the game room that are under repair, and apologize if this is the case). Outdoor Areas: Outside the cabin, there is an abundance of decking space off both the main level and lower level. Sit on the patio and take in the breathtaking sunsets on any of the ample seating or hanging swings. Gather around the outdoor fire pit, cook a family dinner using the grill, pizza oven, or enjoy Blackberry Vista's extra-large outdoor hot tub. If you're feeling adventurous, take a hike around the trails carved into the private 10-acre estate. In addition to the countless amenities at Blackberry Vista, we take pride in our hospitality above all else. We did find that the hot tub was full of leaves and didn’t have enough water when we got there. And the air hockey table was not working for the kids to play. Not an ounce of sheet rock to be found…Lovely wood everywhere. House is in overall good condition and everybody complimented on how comfortable their beds were. We were able to make five cars work but had to juggle access when somebody needed to leave. Four cars would fit perfectly. You can actually stack more but you would have to do a lot of juggling unless you only take the car in the back. The only note is there was basically no start up items at the house other than shampoo and body wash. We found it to be a bit underserved for the Size and Price and had to immediately make a trip to the store to buy basics. We have reported that to the property manager so hopefully future renters will not experience the same thing. Overall it is a very nice house and we built lovely memories sitting on the back deck! We were a group of 15 and we fit fine since two were kids. There is ample getaway space for different groups to do their thing. Quick and easy access to both Blowing Rock and Boone. ##### Lisa S. The house has 3 levels and had plenty of room to spread out all 18 members. The property was perfect to entertain the group of all ages. The kitchen was great and provided us with a great meal and all the needed for preparing the feast. The house is close to Tweetsie and Mystery Hill the places our youngest wanted to visit. The grocery runs were close and easy also. Not one compliant was given from anyone! More than once, I heard this was the best vacation ever from children to adults! There was something for everyone, it was clean, spacious, well kept. The thoughtful touches such as candy in the movie room, welcome gift, and communication were fantastic. Truly appreciated. The only downside would be the parking. We only had three cars but if you have any more someone will be blocked in. But, hey, you're in the mountains, on a mountain. Hardly a complaint. So much room and everyone had space to themselves. Porch view is beautiful. Morning coffee on that porch is a must! The location is closer to Blowing Rock. The driveway is steep. We had 4 vehicles between us and usually had to back up the driveway to get out of it. But that is not a deal breaker to stay here! The kids said this was a great vacation! The game room alone was fantastic as was the movie theater. The location was ideal and a short drive to Blowing Rock or Boone. The views from the back porch are spectacular. The house was extremely well equipped. Laura was our concierge and was better than anyone could hope for. She was super responsive and helpful with suggestions. We also paid her to cook meals for our group of 17 for four nights and the food was exceptionally great and plentiful. I would love to do this again.
