"Excellent hotel with lovely helpful staff. Great breakfasts and a really comfortable bed. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity but it is only a few minutes walk into Rethymno's historic centre where the restaurants are generally better. The view from our balcony over the port was great although there is some noise from main road running along the seafront - only noticeable when the doors to the balcony are open as the soundproofing is very good. It is a good hotel if you are hiring a car as there is a large car park in the port opposite the hotel. It is a bit expensive - around 15 euros per day. There is some free parking but finding a space was tricky. We stayed for a week and, with the benefit of hindsight, should have bought a monthly ticket for 50 euros and saved ourselves the hassle of looking for a free space as we only saved a few euros by doing so."

"Room was clean and modern, with balcony, with kitchenette, air conditioning was turning on automatically so we had to turn it off as it was come already, partial sea view which was very nice and close to the seaboard and beach; it was stormy, windy so we admired the big waves that were fascinating. Restaurant was nice and we had great included breakfast buffet and we ate one time dinner and had discount from expedia, food was nice and well served. Within short distance many restaurants and minimarkets, also not far from the old town, nice to walk. Took city bus tour which took us also outside the city/ town through some mountain villages; very narrow windy roads so kinda scary but nice tour. Parking is hard, we found a spot and did not move the car for two days, but this is a problem everywhere in Crete."

"The pictures on the website make this hotel looks spectacular. The room I had did have a hot tub, but it was inside the room. That made it very difficult to take a shower, and actually filling the hot tub would take about an hour, so I never had time to do it. It also uses up a huge amount of space in the room. Check in on the weekend involves being emailed a code as you arrive and a tall staircase not friendly to having large luggage and one person with a bad back. The people who run the property are extremely nice, and the location is very good. The cleaning is excellent, except that twice they left me a sheet and a blanket folded up not put on the bed. There was also an issue with a sticky switch to flush the toilet that was not fixed while I was there. Overall, this is a luxury property, but the way that it is arranged and managed (strange bed making, sticky switch, big staircase with no one to ) makes it four stars rather than five."

"This hotel is amazing. We stayed in the platinum suite. It was absolutely gorgeous, clean, and huge space. The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was delicious. It was steps from the beach and the beach club is included in your stay. The price point for this hotel is such a deal. I really am so impressed with this place. Hot tub inside and on the balcony. Theres fresh baked Cretan dessert in the fridge along with water. There’s robes and slippers, blow dryer shampoo conditioner and body wash in a beautiful rainfall shower. Breakfast is also included and it’s DELICIOUS. Really good options. Very comfortable stay. DYO suites thank you for your hospitality and for an amazing comfortable and luxurious stay!"
