Very dirty (toilets not clean, hair on the bathroom floor, traces of toothpaste on the mirrors, floor not mopped). No one was attending the reception desk during business hours, had to call someone to check me in.

The place is disgusting, the sheets and towels are dirty. The blanket is used and not covered with a sheet. The feeling that the sheets are also used.

Free airport shuttle and free wifi were advertised on Expedia. In reality the hotel offered neither. I waited at the airport for an hour, then paid for a taxi. Finally arriving, found room dirty. The sliding doors couldn't lock or even close properly. No restaurant, and none in the area. No way to even buy a bottle of water. Could be OK if properly managed, but right now it's basically a scam.

Decent property. Main issue is cleaning and transport. Dead bugs in the cabinets, live ones in livingroom and we were charged double the taxi rate for the hotel transfer (something that other booking sites say is included).

VERY DISAPPOINTED / *FALSE ADVERTISING*: NO onsite restaurants or coffee shops, “FREE” Airport Shuttle cost me 30 Euros. *OTHER COMPLAINTS* no hot water in the morning, front desk was supposed to be open 24 hrs but was closed at night when I needed help, mismatched old towels were damp and moldy smelling, mattress was old, hard, and springs poked me so I couldn’t sleep, and sliding door to the balcony (which was easily accessible from stairs to the apartment) didn’t lock so I feel unsafe - anyone could enter my room at any time. The property had been in contact with me via email to book a tour, but did not follow through and did not return further emails. I paid for transport back to the airport and hotel said they would arrange for a taxi to pick me up but it never came so I had to find another ride and could have missed my flight. ALSO, the name “Blue Bay Resort” is misleading. It is basically a large apartment complex without room service or a pool. The only positive thing I can share is the apartment was large with a nice balcony only one block from the beach.

Worn around the edges but decent.
The apartment is spacious and quite basic, but also in need of a facelift. There is air con in both bedrooms but not in the living room or kitchen; the door to presumably the 2nd bathroom in one of the bedrooms was locked which may simply have been an oversight (and wasn't a big deal as I was travelling solo; the beds were minimally comfortable; the only bathroom I saw was pretty worn and anything more than barely warm water did not happen. That being said, the room does match up to the price paid per night. Internet worked fine. The staff was very friendly. Buses and taxis are nearby, as is the airport, but don't expect much of a view (there's an empty lot with misc stuff scattered about).

Close to the beach
Hotel staffs were unaware of my arrival. Wifi did not work for three days, broken doors, no lights in lounge for one night, no hot water in the bathroom for one day, noisy beds, smelly wardrobes, teared and stains towels, unsecure parking and got a very steep slopes at the entry, most of the time security staff did not come to open the gate and felt unsecure as anyone can come in. Only the cleaning staff was helpful and doing the job properly

Very disappointing
When we got there we were told that there was no booking for us. They got us a room but it was not clean and they found us another room which was better. But the kitchen is poorly equipped. There wasn't any soap or towels, we had to keep going to reception to ask for basic things. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

appartement next to the beach
in transit for one night we are surprised to arrive to a residence appartement instead of a hotel. The staff was really nice and helping. But there was no breakfast or meals possible, the apartment include a kitchen. there was no sheets provided either. So for a long stay and families coming with their sheets and groceries it would be a perfect place. for travelers, once you know, you deal with.

Convenient hotel for short stopover
The room was simple and clean enough. The location is great for close proximity to the airport and walking distance to a nice beach. The staff were very helpful and the transfers from and to the airport were very useful. This hotel was fine for a short stay. I wouldn't want to spend longer than 1 night here as there is only 1 restaurant in walking distance and then a small resort where you can have a meal at resort prices. Any supermarkets are a 20 minute bus ride away if you don't have a hire car. The airplanes literally take off and land just above the roof of the hotel so it's very loud. Overall not a bad hotel for a stopover.

Walking distance to beach. Free airport shuttle but must insist that you saw it on their website. Or else, they try to make you pay for it.

Thanks for the review. Regarding the shuttle, it is no longer available on our property but i guess the issue is with expedia where they have not removed the free shuttle. We offered the shuttle free though we were not supposed to.

The on duty staff is less helpful and difficult to communicate. The room is new but many things spoilt, such as balcony lights are not function and dark. We do not have hot water supply during the night, informed the staff, but the problem still not settle. The bed sheet has sand.

"Hôtel" ? Suis pas difficile mais on avait l'impression d'avoir touché le fond dans cet établissement ... L'appartement avait 2 chambres. Décoration démodée. Mais surtout TRÈS sale. (Poussière, gras dans la cuisine et j'en passe). Certaines prises électriques ne fonctionnaient pas. Ibis budget passe pour un palace !

Detta boendet försörde hela vår resa. Vi har sovit 3st.på en säng med 2.kuddar. Det saknades madrass. På den andra sängen. Allt var trasigt,inget varmt vatten,ingen städning,Kuddar var smutsiga och gamlaaaa. Köket,allt trasigt och gammalt. Ingen fanns i receptionen. Hissen fungerade inte o vi hade ingen nyckel till nödutgång i 2 dagar. Vi var tvungna att alltid en stannar i rummet för att kunna komma in i rummet.Badrum,wc allt trasigt & vatten läckte på golvet. Vi städade själva men man hade inga städgräjer. Vi kommer inte att boka mer resor via Expedia eftersom ni rekommenderar alla möjliga boendet , både bra o dåliga,dåliga skall bort..jag fick jaga ödlor på rummet under kvällar/Nätter. Alldrig varit med om så DÅLIGT. INGET ATT REKOMMENDERA. De sämsta det sämsta. Jag skämdes inför min familj. Hoppas att ni tar bort detta Hotell för andras skull. Besviken Besviken

Les appartements sont cassés et non réparés. Coffre fort ne marche pas, certaines prises électriques ne fonctionnent pas voire dangereuses, cafards, robinets, tout y passe. Regardons plutôt ce qui marche : internet, frigo, lit, veilleur de nuit. Pensez à emmener avec vous un adapteur de courant pour prises anglaises sinon vous ne rechargerez pas vos appareils.

I communicated with the hotel through the Expedia tool of the Expedia app. I was told that i had to book two nights to get a free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. So I booked a second night but nobdy came to pick me up. I also had to book a private taxi to get back to the hotel. Beware of this hotel because this is fraud! My worst experience ever and expedia has not helped as they should have. Slow working on the case, no results. Only the gentleman from expedia I had on the phone the night I had this problem helped and advised- unfortunately ever since expedia has not really worked on the case conveniently. I am very disappointed after having spent thousands of euro every year for their services.

Emplacement idéal, mais manque de propreté
Le site de l'hôtel, à 2 minutes à pied de la plage de Blue Bay est idéal. La propreté et l'état général de l'hôtel laissent par contre à désirer.

Nous sommes désolés pour les inconvénients de la proprete que vous avez subi. En moment de votre séjour on a ete en train de changer notre cleaning staff. Maintenant tous ces problèmes sont résolus. + : à quelques mètres de la très belle plage de Blue Bay et du parc marin, appartement spacieux, climatisés, relativement bien équipés, avec wifi. - : Très peu pratique si l'on a pas de véhicule car aucun commerces autour et quasiment pas de bars, restaurants... donc assez compliqué pour manger lorsqu'on arrive sans rien. Propreté limite, literie peu confortable. Accueil pas vraiment agréable. Surtout notre vol arrivait à 1h du matin, la description sur Expedia indiquait "Réception 24/24" et nous avions aussi pris la peine d'envoyer un mail à l'hôtel pour informer de notre arrivée tardive. Arrivés à 2h sur place, nous avons eu beau sonner et appeler au téléphone pendant 15 mn, personne (et nous étions avec deux enfants en bas âge) !!! Heureusement que nous sommes arrivés avec un taxi qui a pu nous trouver un hotel à 3h du matin... Le lendemain, nous sommes revenus à l'hôtel, qui n'a pas voulu reconnaitre qu'il n'y avait personne et qui nous a affirmé qu'ils nous attendaient !!!

Situé à 15 min de l'aéroport un grand appartement 2 chambres nous attendait. Prévoir de montrer le plan au taxi car beaucoup de petites rues. Appartement climatisé avec un grand frigo de quoi faire à manger douche dans chaque chambre. À part le confort du lit qui n'était pas top et les draps ou il ne fallait pas être trop regardant, le reste de l'appartement était propre. Salon terrasse wifi individuel. Grande gentillesse des personnes à la réception ou des gardiens la nuit, le bâtiment est bien sécurisé. Un conseil arrêtez vous à Mahebourg ou autre faire des courses car il n'y a pas de superette à côté. Sinon vous trouverez un petit resto sur le bord de la plage pour acheter eau jus ou prendre à emporter. La plage est juste à côté une ambiance familiale. Avoir une voiture reste tout de même indispensable. Nous y avons passé qu'une seule nuit mais c'était agréable. À noter l'hôtel se situe sous l'axe de la piste de l'aéroport donc quelques nuisances. Regrette juste qu'il n'y ai pas de quoi acheter des boissons du café et des snacks en dépannage à la réception.

Arrivée mouvementée car le matériel (douche) n'était pas au point (jet d'eau tuyauterie, pas d'eau chaude, gros cafards....) mais il faut dire que la propriétaire a fait le nécessaire en insistant un peu ! Grande gentillesse de tous. Très grand appartement avec balcon mais on 'e voit plus la baie :un immeuble à été construit devant. Bonne situation pour découvrir l'île Maurice en voiture ou bateau. Vous êtes avec les Mauriciens pas trop de touristes et c super !ils sont adorables. Ambiance le soir, très très calme........

This is not a hotel, but apartments. Few minutes from beach. Large rooms. Nice balcony. Close to airport (Which also means one cannot avoid the sounds of take-off's.) To us, that was not a problem. Very basic equipped, not sufficient to cook properly, but OK for making your own breakfast. No shops/bakerys nearby, so rental car (or taxi/bike) is needed. Only few min's drive to supermarket outside Mahebourg. No cleaning of room during our 3 days stay. This is for guests who want selfcatering in all means. Felt safe. Ok value for money.
