Being on the ground floor it was a bit noisy with doors being closed hard. Also the lights and noise from autos coming & going to & from the motel parking lot. Hopefully next time I will be on the top floor. Also when I checked out, I asked for a receipt for proof of my stay & charges to my credit card, I was told I would have to go on line to get it. I don't know if that is company policy or not. I'll have to check all charges, just to make sure nothing was added that I didn't authorize.

Hi BarbaraI'm sorry your stay did not exceed your expectations.Please request 2nd floor next time you stay with us.As far as your receipt when you book online with a 3rd party we do not give our receipts at the hotel. The 3rd party company emails you when you check out.

Picture this, you walk into the bar area only to see the bartender blow her nose, and then doesnt wash her hands, and she wonders why her bar is dead all the time.

Black mold in the ceiling of pool area, pool and hot tub water cloudy. Very gross overall.

Hi Holly,Thank you for taking the time to do a review. I appreciate the honest feedback. It is not black mold it is actually glue and we are getting ready to re due the pool area. Sadly it just did not happen before the swimming tournament. It is also hard to maintain the pool when there are 80 plus kids in it for 3 days with no break. we watch the chemical levels all day long and those were where they should be. The pool and hot tub just did not have enough time to filter out all the soap, lotion and detergent from the kids. I am sorry you had a bad experience. We look hope you will give us a try again in the future if you are in Black River Falls.

I was put on 2nd floor with steep stairs and a elevator that was clear across the hotel to get to it only about 7 people staying there so why 2nd floor not safe going up and down those steep stairs

Sure Stay for the Win !!!!
Amazing staff that made accommodations for my family in every way possible, Arrived early after hours of driving and they made sure we got in our room early so we could rest. The continental breakfast was top tier with great service. Will be making more trips to this area and will only stay at Sure Stay !!

Very Accommodating
We needed to change our room from a single queen to a double queen after a change in our plans. They were very accommodating. They had a bar that was open on a week night and the bar tender was freindly and stayed open en extra half hour just so we could have a cocktail and unwind after a long day of working and travel.

Great representation of the area/community
Positive all around experience, room was clean, bed and bedding and general room set up ideal -- and loads of regular coffee already in place. GM very helpful and accommodated hunter crowd by having in-house breakfast ready and hour early. Breakfast was sit-down restaurant quality; will definitely stay there again

Please go anywhere else
We should have run when we saw a used condom in the parking lot. Or when we opened the fridge it our room to find a half full fountain drink that had spilled. The shower had actual dirt on the walls. There was a giant dead spider on the window sill that had been there so long it was coated in dust. The continental breakfast featured multiple hairs.

Not horrible, not great!
The check in was quick and efficient.The lobby was clean and inviting. The room was clean. However a little outdated, the shower rod looked like it was about to fall off. The beds weren't attached so my kids thought they broke them. :)

This is the cheapest hotel in the area, so that's why we booked it. You get what you pay for. The trucks coming & going from the nearby truckstop can be noisy. And the walls are paper thin - we could hear every word of the conversation of the people in the next room. The hotel & rooms are clean and comfy enough, but very dated. I highly recommend turning on the HVAC unit, at least the fan, to have some white noise on to block out the other sounds. Once we did that, we slept well. The hotel breakfast is decent - they have lots of choices like eggs, meat, waffles, bread, cereal, juice, & milk. Check in and check out are nice & easy.

Great location, right on the ATV trails. Very easy for loading, unloading and parking. Lots of times its hard to find hotels that are trailer and UTV friendly. This place is made for it!!

We've stayed countless times over 50 years and always love staying at what we lovingly call "The Big Orange Moose" As done previously we called ahead asking for a room near the main desk because a person in our party was on a walker and could not navigate the extra long hallway. How disappointing to arrive and find our room was not only at the far end of the hall, but also around the corner. Desk clerk was so apologetic and manager completely ignored us. In the room our shower was stuck in the "on" position and tub didn't drain. As a safety concern, grab bar next to toilet which was needed for the person with the walker was lose both at the wall and at the floor. Delicious eggs and sausage hot breakfast saved the trip.

Most hotels in the region are in the middle of nowhere and this one is no different but it’s safe and the staff are always helpful. The bar is a nice gathering spot for other guests and locals

The room was much smaller then I had anticipated but not a problem. Our air conditioning was rattling so loud it was hard to sleep. The pool and hot tub could just a fresh coat of paint but we enjoyed the hot tub. No steps into the pool just ladders fyi. Staff was friendly and free breakfast is nice.

I knowcthis is on a dusty trail but when floors are vinyl they can be scrubbed easily. Our feet got dirty just walking across floor after showering!

The hotel is older but was very clean. They have a bar that is open some nights from 5:00 to 11:00. They served appetizers and frozen pizza that were pretty good.

Would stay again.
Always a good place to stay when we’re riding, good staff, excellent breakfast, but could use some upgrades on interior especially the bathrooms, pool and hot tub. Would stay there next time we go.

Hotel is a perfect location for an ATV home base and is trailer friendly. Staff was great. Breakfast decent. Hotel is in serious need of updating. Our room was falling apart, bed was old and worn, room very musty and the previous occupants towel was left and hairs found.
