"What a beautiful valley on the fjord! The cabin has a fantastic view out over Ortnevik to the Sognefjord. It really is stunning. We went on a couple of short hikes around the valley and totally enjoyed them. The cabin itself is comfortable with all the facilities you will need. There is a small store in Ortnevik where you can get groceries but be aware that it has limited opening hours so check with the host. I should also mention that the host was very responsive to my queries, even though he...

"We had a wonderful time in Viksdalen with our extended family. We had everything that we needed or could want in the house. We loved the separate lakeside cabin but wished that we had discovered it sooner, rather than at then end of the holiday. If we could have changed anything it would be that the wonderful view wasn`t obscured by the owners roofline. It is very peaceful here and if you like solitude then this place has it in covered."

"Herrliche Lage, direkt am Arnafjord, mit herrlicher großer Terrasse und Badestrand nebenan. Das Haus ist ganz gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Alle Küchenzutaten, wie Salz, Pfeffer etc muss man allerdings mitbringen. Die Anfahrt von Vik zieht sich etwas, ca 30 min immer am Fjord lang, aber dafür hat man dann Idylle pur."

"The apartment we stayed was just furnished, with all the new furnitures and tools. All places in it are super clean, with a very large toilet with two washing machines, drying area. "We did a last minute reservation while driving along the Norwegian coast, and were lucky to find this great lodge. Even though we arrived late at night, the lady owner was waiting for us, and even upgraded our room for a larger one with a nice view of the water and fjord. The lodge is located on a somewhat secluded area away from heavy traffic, with its own little fjord beach. Its a great place to sit back and relax, that I hope to be back one day."
