Although the age of the building was showing, the friendliness of the staff, the culture of the property, the amenities, and restaurant was above expectations for the cost paid. I grew to appreciate this property and would definitely come back to stay here again.

This place was situated right in the middle of everything! It was great to explore the area! The staff at the restaurant/bar were absolutely 💯 awesome! The rooms do get hot, fan is in the closet. I thought the pillows were hard but husband liked them. Staff were top notch!

My room, as usual was excellent. Being a regular visitor of several times a year, I’ve always found my ‘home from home’ at Doolys hotel. The staff couldn’t be nicer, friendlier or more attentive. They take excellent care of me each time I’m there. From arrival, receptionist is Niamh, Ciara or Marisa, to the bar, restaurant and night porter Gerry. Honestly, every single one of them treat me like I’ve known them all my life. I couldn’t rate them any better. See you all in 6 wks. Marguerite

Dooleys hotel staff were brilliant. The breakfast and dinner was also brilliant the hotel is been done up and you need to know that. The hotel car park is another bonus beside the Garda station and bank. The staff really are brilliant and are so helpful. The food is exceptional and nicely priced. The decor is a bit dated however the new owners have started renovating and it will be better. Yes we will stay again . Well done Dooleys .

We arrived at Dooly's Hotel Birr and spent 2 hours trying to get in and eventually had help from a nearby business who found Dooly's was closed for renovations) even though I had done an online check in the night before, and that we had been rebooked at the County Arms 2 minutes away but were not notified. My review is for the County Arms hotel where the staff were extremely helpful, the room well presented and spacious, the bathroom was very nice and had a fabulous shower. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent quality. The included breakfast was also excellent quality. The location and grounds / gardens were great also.
