The front porch has 120 year old brackets supporting the roof with cast iron railings. The living area has old pine floors with travertine in one bath and the kitchen, the other bath has marble floors. Our kitchen cabinets are made from antique cypress materials from old New Orleans homes. All appliances are upgrade. Furnishings are either custom made or antiques. One bedroom has a cypress four posted bed and the other an antique high back oak bed. A screened porch has outside dining and an additional sleeping area. An attached deck has another table and chairs as well as a gas grill. Come enjoy! Victorian Cottage was instantly and obviously an incredibly welcoming and relaxing abode. The woodwork and many furnishings appear lovingly repurposed with craftsmanship. Lots of local art whimsies create curiosity and playfulness. The beds were amazingly comfortable, with high quality sheets and down pillows. Thank you for the exceptional sleep!!the location is a quiet shady residential neighborhood only 2-3 blocks from the waterfront. Cottage was equipped with all of our needs from cookware and serve ware to coffee and tea to books and games and television. We created several warm family memories during our week here, and will certainly be back!
