Casapueblo is now divided into two main parts: An art gallery (where are exposed the works of Carlos Páez Vilaró) and a hotel.  It all started with the construction of a hovel that was being expanded to be what it is today.  This hovel would have been the inspiration for the song "A casa" of Vinícius de Moraes and Toquinho.

A Casapueblo é hoje dividida em duas partes principais: Uma galeria de arte (onde estão as obras de Carlos Páez Vilaró) e um hotel. Tudo começou com a construção de um casebre que foi sendo ampliado até ser o que é hoje. Tudo obra de Vilaró.
