Convenient and Cozy
Property was clean and cozy. Location to everything in Bergen is perfect for walks to just about anywhere. Plenty of restaurants and conveniences needed for traveling. Only negative was the neighbors which isn’t the responsibility of the property owner. If you’re a light sleeper such as myself it may be a problem for you. If that’s not you it’s great.

In the heart of the historic Bryggen neighborhood and close to busses, grocery, and delicious kebabs. Also enjoyed the property- space was very clean and comfortable and appreciated access to laundry.

This is an amazing property owned and managed by an amazing couple. The property is great for families with kids. It's located in very nice residential area within minutes away from city centre and all attractions. If we ever return to Bergen, we will definitely stay here again.

The photos are not that on the website. Quite old and shabby and lost its glories. Noisy wooden floors, squeaks. Good location. Owner is nice to let us use the laundry, which located in another apartment, as there is NO laundry service in Bergen.

You are right that our facilities is old, they are in fact several hundred years old authentic Bergen houses located in a historic part of Bergen, just behind Bryggen. Exceptionally clean apartment in excellent position in Bryggen just behind the Maria church. Handy for the Flybussen to/from the airport but suggest taxi if you are going to/from Hurtigruten. As there are about 12 stairs to reach the main body of the apartment and there is a small step into the main bedroom suggest those with mobility issues may be challenged. Also the laneways around the area are mainly cobbled. Handy and usable small spotless kitchenette. The tv is a smart tv using a series of apps, but not all are available unless registered.

Authentic experience.
Excellent facilities in a central location. The loft room was airy and spacious with plenty of room for a family of four. The shared facilities are clean with everything you might need. Make sure you look to see what has been left behind by those travelling through before you! We found plenty to follow with our children aged 10 and 7. The top of Floyen is wonderful for hiking, playgrounds and views. There was free canoeing and affordable zip lining during our visit as it fell within their school summer holidays. The Aquarium was good and the Science Museum was brilliant. We could walk almost anyway we wanted to get to and Bergen is a fantastic base to take trips out to explore the fjords and landscape further.

Apartment close centrally located
We stayed in Bjorgvin apartment for three nights over the summer. The location of the apartment is amazing for those wanting to explore all that Bergen has to offer. Everything is right on your door step and there are local shops nearby to by supplies. The host was very pleasant and quickly responded to requests or questions we had about our stay. The apartment has a bedroom, living room, small kitchen, small bathroom and a utility room with a washer and dryer. The bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe in it but not much room for anything else. This was a shame as we had requested a cot bed for our baby and ended up having to put him in the corridor as there was no room for him in the bedroom and we wanted to be able to use the living room after he was asleep. The kitchen has basic equipment but could be better equipped to help with cooking in. For example the kettle is a small travel kettle and the cooking utensils are a basic IKEA set. The bathroom has not been updated like the other parts of the apartment but was clean and acceptable. Easy access to the apartment and TV and speaker in living room. Overall, the apartment was fine and would recommend because of its location. Price was towards top end of what would pay for standard.

The house was too small for a family of four. The bedroom was tiny, barely fits a queen sized bed and their sofa bed was more of a futon which sleeps 1.5 at best. My two girls are 13 and 15 and could barely fit into the sofa bed with one falling off the bed every night. Another disappointing factor was the lack of an eating area. We had to eat squeezed into a small desk or on our beds because there was no kitchen table.

We understand that our one bedroom apartment, ideally meant for 2-3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children felt crowded for a family with two teenagers. Due to your feedback, we have now changed the guidelines for the apartment. Thank you. Please note that the small desk you refer to was expandable to a dining table that seats 6 persons. Sostre Guesthouse was a beautiful place to stay. Everything was very clean and the bedding was so comfortable. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants a different experience. The hostess, Lisa, greeted us when we arrived and she was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. Sostre Guesthouse is conveniently located to all the major sites as well as to the town center. Everything is within walking distance. The guesthouse is located in a quaint residential neighborhood. I loved the cobblestone street and flowering window boxes at many residents. The shared bathroom was not a problem because there were only two rooms on our floor and one was not occupied. But I don't see that as being a problem at all. Everything was clean and the bathroom was very modern. I would definitely stay here again.

The room is good but it is in a building that appears to be owned by the Salvation Army. You don't stay in the building in the photo and that was the reason we chose to stay at Sostre guesthouse

The Penthouse apartment is close to the guesthouse, but in a different building than the rest of the apartments and rooms. It does have more amenities and amazing city views. We felt we were part of the neighbourhood.
We loved the Norwegian feel with panelled wood in white and pastel shades. The curved wooden stairs gave a homely feel and the furnishings were artistic and well chosen. The staff were friendly and helpful, keeping the shared kitchen clean and tidy and replenishing were necessary. We had good advice on places to eat away from main tourist routes. Strongly recommend walk up Stotzekleiven stepped path to Sandviksfjellet from Monkebotn(easy bus ride) and return down Skreddersdalen path back to guesthouse ( 3 hours with stops etc). Enjoyed sharing breakfasts with other guests and ate 2 of our 3 evening meals "in", never crowded and well equipped, modern kitchen. Would recommend this as a place to stay.

Hyggelig opphold på to søstre
Leiligheten var delikat og praktisk. Vi hadde et fint opphold, og kan gjerne tenke oss å komme tilbake. Litt minus var det at det ikke gikk an å åpne vinduet på et av soverommene fordi håndtaket var ødelagt. Dette var det ikke opplyst om på forhånd. I tillegg var det kun en av fire spotter på badet som virket.

Verten møtte oss og viste leilighet, god service. Stor flott leilighet, stort bad, 3 soverom med god plass. Det er et eldre hus, derfor må ein være forberedt på å gå litt i trapper. Er egen trapp frå stue opp til 3 soverom i topp etasje. Sofaen kunne vært litt meir behagelig, men ellers heilt topp. Alt ein trenger på kjøkkenet. Fin utsikt, og veldig sentralt. Parkeringshus er kun 2 min unna, det samme med matbutikker. Anbefalast absolutt!

Juste parfait !!
L'établissement est situé dans le vieux Bergen, quartier piéton, à 5 minutes du quai de Bryggen. Nous avons loué un appartement 2 chambres. Le logement est très propre, lumineux et bien agencé. Il y a un hall d'entrée avec machine à laver et sèche-linge. Il y a la place pour laisser une poussette. L'appartement est au 1er étage, accessible par un escalier un peu étroit. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et aux petits soins : on nous a installé une barrière de sécurité a l'escalier pour notre bébé, et le lendemain nous avions une chaise haute dans le hall sans demander! Je conseille ce logement sans hésitation!!!!

Lovely place. Great atmosphere. Stayed in blue room and shared a very nice new bathroom with an other room, + an Ekatarina toilet in the house. Well equipped kitchen, WiFi, and good facilities in general. Close to what we wanted to do in Bergen.

Top Lage in Bergen in einem hübschen Haus
Schönes Gästehaus, 2 Minuten vom Hafen entfernt (die Lage ist wirklich top). Tolle Hauseinrichtung! Sehr stylisch! Top Küche, die wir gerne genutzt haben. Das Zimmer war groß genug, jedoch kein Schrank oder Regal für die Ablage vorhanden. Das Gemeinschafsbad (für 2 Zimmer) ok, wurde leider während unseres Aufenthalts nicht geputzt. Die Gästgeber haben wir leider auch an den 2 Tagen nicht gesehen. Trotzdem eine schöne Unterkunft und sehr empfehlenswert:)

Flott alternativ sentralt i Bergen for de som vil ha leilighet og klare seg selv! Rent og pent og praktisk innredet. Kort gangavstand til alle severdigheter, uteliv og restauranter. Parkeringshus like i nærheten. Et stort pluss for oss var vaskemaskin og tørketrommel i leiligheten, vi kunne vaske og tørke tøy på turen.
