private home with a beautiful view
The driveway into this home is lined with trees on both sides, a very private setting once you arrive. Lots of room in the driveway for several vehicles. Beautifully set up fire pit with Adirondack chairs, as well as wood fireplace inside. A bit of a walk down to the water, but once there, it’s well worth it. Coffee or an afternoon cocktail on the dock is a must! So relaxing! The back patio on the home as a beautiful view of the water as well. Entry to the home was by phone, so if you weren’t with that person with the code, you wouldn’t be able to enter, hence 3 star for check in. The other disappointment was only being told that night after check in that the downstairs washroom was out of commission due to a water leak in a hot water tank that was reported the week before. A bit of an inconvenience when there are 8 ladies in the house and now only two functional washrooms. As for the barbecue, seems there have been reports in the past about the start up procedure? We couldn’t get it to work, which was very unfortunate for the steak supper we had planned. Other than these last items, I would recommend this location

Peaceful retreat
A lovely, immaculate home with a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful view. Everything was as advertised. Would stay again. Access to waterfront might be arduous for some seniors. Many steps, but well maintained.

Girls Weekend
We had a wonderful time at Peaceful Skies Lakehouse! The host was very friendly and responsive and made us feel right at home. The cottage was very spacious, beds were comfortable, and the property was beautiful! Would highly recommend!

First time to Prince Edward County
This is a fantastic property for a larger family. Our three families had their own part of the house with their own bathroom. This was especially beneficial with the young children, toddler and infant. It is a long way down to the water, but Sandbanks park is 30 minutes away. The owner was so helpful and responded promptly to all of my questions. We would definitely stay here again!

A quaint and peaceful escape for a family
This is a lovely property - an ideal place for a family getaway in Prince Edward County. There is room for individual privacy as well as larger family together activities, such as dinners, games and evening fire pit. Colin was easy to reach and a very accommodating host.

Property is very nice and well kept. House was great, modern interior design, lots of space for large groups. All the amenities were there, kitchen well stocked for cooking. Comfortable beds. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Thank you so much Collin for a fabulous time at your beautiful property. We had a perfect weekend from start to finish. The property was easy to find and was beautiful. The house was perfect and very, very spacious and well equipped. We hired a bus to pick us up and toured three wineries so it is in a very good location. We really enjoyed the large deck and the one facing the water. We also loved the fire pit and enjoyed looking up at all the stars. We would highly recommend your property for a special get away. Thank you again.

Beautiful setting and comfortable home.
We enjoyed our girls weekend at Peaceful Skies and would definitely return. Everything we needed was here for us to enjoy. Thanks to Colin and his family for creating a modern, bright, clean and relaxing vacation property!!

Modern, clean and kid-friendly
We spent Victoria Day Long Weekend at Colin's place with three other families with kids. The place was absolutely spotless with a beautiful open concept living room and kitchen. There was even a baby gate available so the adults were able to leave the little kids running around. We enjoyed eating on the deck while we watched our kids play in the front yard which was very well maintained. Smarlock system was also very convenient so that we didnt have to worry about losing the house keys. Short drive into Picton downtown as well as amazing wineries around the house was great. Would love to come back in the future. Thanks for the stay!

Peaceful and tasteful home in a great location
We stayed at this property in March 2017 for a weekend get-together with my friends - four couples and 2 kids. We had an excellent time! The cottage is easy to access from the main road yet secluded. Inside is spacious and very comfortable - big bedrooms, comfortable furniture in the leaving room and a nice modern kitchen. The cottage is full of light and the view is spectacular. The owner was very accommodating right from the start - answering all of my questions promptly. There was a lot to do in the house - magazines to read, pool to play and entertainment. There is a beautiful waterfall bordering the property and access to the water front with a lot of excellent vantage points to take pictures, have walks and watch wild life. We saw ospreys and couple of bald eagles and lots and lots of Canada geese and ducks. This is an excellent place to have a laid back weekend and enjoy nature. We will recommend the place to all of our friends and come back if opportunity arises.
