If you want to experience something different, this is the place! The layout is unusual because it's a converted church. The heating is like a covered church (we built a fire both nights which made it even more charming), with the heated floor being a welcome feature. The grounds, with the Fall leaves in abundance, make it a storybook setting. We dined in Waterford both nights, so can't comment on the more local options. The beds were very comfortable. This is an ingenious restoration that is beautifully rendered. You're only about 20-25 minutes outside Waterford by car - an easy commute and there is plenty of parking right by the river. It was a unique experience and very cozy. After two weeks of hotels it was so nice having room and cooking meals. The location was great and close to many activities and restaurants. As two couples from the USA, we wanted a unique place to stay that was convenient for day trips to the Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford areas. This Gothic Church took the cake! The love put into renovating this church is shown in every corner. The owners' stories of the renovation, along with their helpfulness and availability, made them one of our favorite hosts. The church is so well equipped with everything from games to kitchen spices. Note the temperature of the place is comfortable, but not adjustable. WOW!!!! I never thought I would stay in an old church. It was so fun. It was myself, my wife and my 4 girls ages 16 and triplets age 12\. We had such a great time in this old church. The owners have done an amazing job restoring it. It had really cool Nic Nics everywhere and was comfortable to stay at. Was a fun getaway for us as we settled in to the time zone change prior to spending time with friends for NYE and a great base to explore surrounding sites. Maybe not an ideal time of year due to short daylight hours but it was the time we had. Would love to come back in the summer and see more of the area. It’s easy to see the love that was poured in to the restoration. Enjoyed spending a few minutes meeting the hosts and getting suggestions for places to see. ##### Charles B.
