Taal volcano is a popular day trip from Manila, it's supposed to be an easy hike but if you add hot weather plus hot steam and stuff from an active volcano it gets very difficult very fast, but don't worry they sell really expensive beer once you reach the top (trust me you will not care about the price and it will be delicious no matter what).
