Highly recommended for pet lovers they are indeed pet friendly. Our 3 lovely dogs (2 chow chow and 1 lhasa apso) were allowed in the resorts facility. Amazing staff as well.

Pleasant mini resort but room sizes do not match

A very nice and friendly mini resort in Mabini. Great location with a coral reef on its doorstep. Do not expect a sandy beach however. There are small rocks/pebbles by the shoreline and then reef immediately after. Young children will find it difficult to swim or play there. The restaurant offers some very tasty food but stick to the filipino or South East Asian dishes (they have not got the hang of the European ones). The staff is very friendly and accommodating, top marks for them. However: a major negative point is that they advertise the rooms to be bigger than they actually are. When I travel with my family I always make sure to book rooms or suites of a certain size since we appreciate space. I used Hotels.com for this booking and I booked the largest room available at the resort; the Family Suite. The resort advertised this as beeing 87 sq m and good for 6 people. Upon arriving I discovered that the Family Suite is nowhere near 87 sq m. Far from it. I estimated it to be 30-35 sq m. 6 people will struggle in this "suite". We were 2 adults and 1 child and found it cramped. The suite is the same one as in the photos on the booking websites so we did not get the wrong room. So either someone at The Philip Ann Resort can not measure a space properly or they are deliberately lying about the size of their rooms. Anyway, I was very annoyed and displeased with this false information and I would have picked another resort if I had known the true size of this family "suite".

This resort is a unique gem, tucked into a hillside from the road down to the sea. The location feels very private and the owner has created a place that invites guests to stay and play, relax and enjoy their time here, with such amenities as a swimming pool and jetted tub, various places to sit on the created sandy beach, a dive shop to outfit you for kayaking, snorkeling or diving, restaurant, bar with a pool table and karaoke set up, and spa for massages and facials, and even a tiki bar where I enjoyed watching sunsets. The staff was outstanding; very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
