As a regular customer this visit was very disappointing - no water bottles in the room, vending machines empty & never restocked during our 4-day stay, reception floor looked like it needed a clean. Also the cash box at the tea/coffee station had been broken into. No staff seen during my stay either…

Very bad option
Self check-in hotel, which was not user friendly. Multiple emails sent , but not check-in details. Hotel was very run down with strange furniture and a random dirty storage room in the penthouse suite....very strange. Curtains were not blackout and wi dows not preventing noise.

A little information for fellow travellers: If you are planning to stay here make sure you (a) get your Basel card and front door access code by email (b) Number 50 bus will take you from the airport to the main train station (free with your Basel card). Take the number 8 tram to Kaserne (the hotel is just 50 metres from this stop (again free with Basel card). C) You will need your front door code to enter the lobby and you will need a qr code or be cozy booking reference to get your room ( If you book with Hotels . Com you will NOT be sent either. You MUST get in touch with Be cozy in advance to get this reference. To be fair, their live chat and email responses are quick. Once in, the room is basic but the bedding, towels etc are clean. The heating and shower are great. Location wise the hotel is just across the river from the old town and there are a few very nice restaurants nearby.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, with atrocious customer service. It started as soon as we got there, when it took 20 min (as opposed to the promised 5) to get the code to enter our room. Then, we had trouble getting Basel cards. Bafflingly, the hotel claimed they didn’t have my name and birthday, despite the fact that I gave them this info not an hour before during check in. Instead, I got a WhatsApp from a total stranger asking me for my information. Even after I gave it, I never got a Basel card. It was not worth it to bring it back up because the last thing I wanted was to give more info to a stranger who did not seem to understand why I found this interaction unprofessional and confusing. The real problem was the room. The shower did not work and sprayed into the bathroom.The room was covered in dead bugs. The hand towels were covered in dead bugs. Live bugs still covered the ceiling. It clearly had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. We suffered through a night. When we woke up, the problem was even worse. There were even more bugs. We sent videos to the help team. While they offered to change our room and refund our first night, they refused to give us a refund because “the weather causes bugs”. Why would a new room help if the issue was the weather? Why don't other hotels have this problem? It is nonsensical. I ate the cost and stayed at a clean hotel. I have no confidence in this place and will never stay at any Becozy pop up hotel again. DO NOT COME

Not a great experience
Communication regarding how to check-in (even enter the building) was not good. The assumption that we all have access to all our email accounts at all times or that emails happen instantaneously caused me big trouble. I was very lucky that my wife was home and that I could get a wi-fi signal so I could face time her and she was able to play middleman was the only reason i got in at all. It sucked and it took hours. There is no AC and the room temperature was sauna-like. Noise from the street was terrible as you had to leave the window open for the room to cool down at all during the night. I would not return, ever.

information détaillée avant l’arrivée nécessaire
franchement pas terrible, plutôt genre auberge de jeunesse ….entrée autonome c’est bien. la connection pour s’enregistrer sur place : long et fastidieux chambre minimaliste pas de table ni de lampe de chevet pas de télévision pas de machine à café ni bouilloire pas de produit cheveux dans la douche et après signalement en ligne le shampoing a été rempli mais pas l’après shampooing aucun ménage fait en une semaine (période de carnaval en plus !!!! confettis partout) on a decouvert a la fin de séjour qu’il y avait une mini cuisine et cafetière bouilloire a notre disposition en bas. Avant ça aurait été pratique . À mon avis, tout peut être facilement bien amélioré par une bonne information. Le lieu est idéal et les locaux agréables.

Der SelfCheckIn hat leider nicht ganz so gut geklappt, da ich keine Mail mit den Zugangsdaten bekommen habe. Allerdings hat der Support des Hotels hier relativ schnell Abhilfe geschaffen. Endlich im Zimmer angekommen musste ich feststellen, dass es keine TV gab, heutzutage eigentlich Standard. Ansonsten war es mehr oder weniger sauber und es hat leicht gemüffelt im Zimmer. Das Bett war gut das Kopfkissen nicht. Dennoch habe ich ganz gut geschlafen. Leider sind Parkplätze rund ums Hotel rar bzw. sehr teuer so dass ich ins nahegelegene Parkhaus bin.

La chambre la plus médiocre jamais louée .
Une nuit au prix prohibitif de 814€ dans une chambre à la propreté douteuse , sans lumière dans la salle de douche . Bruyante face à l’ascenseur etla rue bruyante . Pas de Clim et un pauvre ventilateur tellement bruyant que je ne l‘ai pas utilisé . C’était donc médiocre , très cher et aucun services … c‘est le concepte .

Wenn man hier nur schlafen möchte und locker ist..
In den Duschen ist Schimmel. Bei meinem Kollegen in einem anderen Zimmer ist das Fenster offen gelassen worden, als er das Zimmer bezog war es eiskalt. Der Boden im Badezimmer war schmutzig. Am Anfang hat es ewig gedauert, bis wir unsere Zimmer beziehen konnten, weil wir die Codes per Email nicht erhalten haben.... Alles schade, alles vermeidbar. Positives: Die Kaffeemaschinen und die Gemeinschaftsräume waren super! Die Snackangebote auch. Das Bett war sauber und sehr kuschlig. Uns wurde sehr schnell geholfen, als wir nicht in die Zimmer kamen. Die Lage ist natürlich unschlagbar. Danke für die Baselcity Tickets- das war ein sehr überraschender positiver Punkt.

Lives up to the name
We really loved the concept of this hotel (? - It kind of sits somewhere between a hostel and a hotel) and it really didn't feel like a hotel, either. With the windows closed, you don't hear much if anything of any street noise; we couldn't hear anything from neighbouring rooms. The only issue we had was checking in, but it seemed that the problem lay in not having booked directly through becozy - a vital piece of information for the check-in wasn't forwarded by hotels.com. But the people working the hotline were super friendly and helpful and we got there eventually. Would definitely stay again. Also: We highly recommend the vegetarian restaurant next door - it was so good, we ended up spending about double what we had initially planned on. Totally worth it.

Muy mala experiencia. La información proporcionada por el establecimiento no se corresponde con la realidad del mismo (por ejemplo, mi habitación no tenia ducha dentro de la habitación cosa que no mencionan en la descripción de la misma). El hotel no tiene personal así que no hay a quien reclamar en persona, y por otros canales (chat de Expedia, email) son ignorados durante días o semanas.
