Fui por situación médica y me arruinaron mi operación me sentí secuestrada no me retornaron el dinero obligándome a permanecer allí por 10 días . Quieren cobrar por cualquier persona q quiera pasar a saludarte no dejan a nadie subir a la habitación ósea q si me Hubiese operado nadie hubiese podido visitarme . Para un niño usar la piscina te piden registro de nacimiento como si uno fuese traficante de niños Las habitaciones con moho y muy sucias el vigilante se cree manager y fue despectivo al yo quejarme por cobrarme por una visita q íbamos a disfrutar de la piscina. Este tipo todo el tiempo me hizo sentir como delincuente fue mi peor Experiencia. Nadie me retornó el dinero el Gerente no sirve para resolver fue mentiroso. Los taxistas son unos metiches en la vida de los huéspedes fatal fatal . Toallas viejas baños de terrados el área de la piscina descuidada

Vivo en united state por muchos años y viajo cada año a Barranquilla por procedimientos médicos , cometí el error de reservar en este hotel por 10 días en lo q mi estadía fue un infierno. Perdí mi cita pre operatoria . Puesto q al operarme mis pocos conocidos iban a venir a visitarme y pues un día quise disfrutar de la Piscina con unos familiares y allí me entero q no permiten visitas a la habitación y quieren cobrar por cada persona q pueda visitarte así sea cuestión de 1 hora. Algo ilógico puesto si eres turista un hotel sería tu casa de paso . Te quieren obligar a atender las visitas en la recepción, ósea q no pude operarme por este inconveniente debo aclarar q reserve para dos personas puesto q la Otra persona era quien me iba acompañar después de la operación. Tuve q hablar con el gerente quien no tiene mando ni hay una buena comunicación con sus empleados nadie sabe nada . Para usar la piscina a los niños les exigen registro de nacimiento para el Ingreso . Quien en su sano juicio va a piscina con los registros de los hijos?, basura de lugar. El tipejo q usan de dizque seguridad en la puerta me trató como delincuente al ver mi familia pues no eran personas fancy y menos del tipo Barranquilla norte . Este tipo me Insulto diciéndome q si yo no sabía q los hoteles eran por estrellas . A lo cual le dije q este no llega ni a dos estrellas. Solo en el restaurante el encargado fue muy amable, el bartender de la piscina y una de las housekeeper. Me sentí secuestrada en ese lugar

In lots of ways, this hotel is one of the nicest I’ve stayed in, but too many negatives for me to be completely enthusiastic. On the good side: beautiful room, helpful staff, decent food in the bar, very good laundry which picks up & delivers and amazing views of Medellín from the top floor. Negatives: - only one elevator which was slow - the immediate area was uninteresting with few options to find nice cafes and restaurants (if I ever go back to Medellín, I’m staying in El Poblado) - and, while I accept I’m older than the average guest, it was far too noisy in the evening, though my sleep wasn’t disturbed

The area around the property is not the best. They would only give us one room key when we had 4 people in a room. The shower head was rusted and flithy. But the staff was very nice.

Staff was attentive. Except for hot water issue with the shower. Not safe to walk at night. The one block away La Troja is too loud. Ac not. Functioning well in my room. Window in bathroom doesn’t close. Overall noy so bad.

Cleanness is very good in and around the property. Shower could be better. Water pressure very poor. Hot water off and on. After a long day you want to go to the hotel and be able to take a nice shower.

Service was good. They charge you for towels and pillow cases if you dye your hair and leave stains. Hitel is clean but didnt look like the pictures

Stay here for Carnival
If you are coming to Barranquilla for Carnival, this is where you want to stay. The only negative comment I have regards to the air conditioning. This might not be a factor for you if you are from a tropical climate, which I am not. The interior of the hotel is not air-conditioned, and elevators are even a little bit hotter, so by the time you’ve taken the stairs to your room, the last thing you want is to open your door and have it be a sauna inside. I understand from an environmental perspective that it’s not always a good idea to leave the air-conditioning running if you are not in the room, but here you have to wait 3 to 4 minutes after you have put your key in the slot for the air conditioner to kick in and then another 10 before the room is comfortable, so literally every time you go to your room, you have to take a shower. that there is no hot water is no issue because of this But some might take exception of that. Same with the janky shower head. There was an issue with the electric key that they fixed, sort of, on the 4th time I was locked out of my room. The staff are absolutely amazingly helpful and gracious.

Good hotel, be ready for loud music!
The customer service was great, hotel was clean and a good location in the centre of the city. I did like the open atrium style of the hotel. Condition of the hotel needs a bit of updating inside the rooms, we had a room for disabled which was fine but the toilet didnt have a toilet seat although other toilets did. They did offer to change rooms which we recognise and appreciated. Also in my parents room they did not have a safe box and one was never provided when we let them know. Becuase of the famous La Troja nearby which is an open place famous for music, it is very loud until around 1-2am. So bring ear plugs if affected by loud music.

Ok but you can do better
Place is good. They just need to do more to clean up certain areas. The entrance to the elevator needs to be cleaned on every floor. There is dirty windows with dust, dead little animals and it’s a nice view to the pool but clean those windows more often. It makes the hotel feel dirty. The Fingerprints all over the walls. All high traffic area where people put their fingers should be painted/cleaned and maintained more often. The staff of the hotel are all great. The room is very nice. The pillows are too big to sleep. It should be a big pillow and then a smaller pillow.

The staff was friendly. Only a few spoke english, but it's Colombia, so that's ok. But for a hotel, you would think hot water and water pressure would be standard. It's not! That in itself made me move to another hotel, without getting a refund.. And other than scrambled eggs, I don't know what that garbage was they called breakfast. Not to mention the breakfast tables were never wiped down after a guest got up. So yeah, finding a clean table was impossible. And when something ran out, that was it, no refills. Guess you had to get there when they first opened.

Everything was great. However, be careful when they do the mini bar inventory in the room as they charged me for a drink from the room but I never touched the fridge.

GOOD PLACE TO STAY
For some reason the Wi-Fi was out on the whole block for a week I am hoping that they have that fix soon. I like staying at that hotel but that's a non-starter for many. They said it would be fixed and I don't think that's the fault of the hotel but the city.
