All properties: Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Natural woodland gardens and grounds (shared). No smoking.. These lovely detached holiday lodges are set in an elevated position with marvellous views towards Cairn O’Mount. Situated in 8 acres of natural woodland, all the properties are very stylishly furnished with good attention to detail. Mountshade (ref 30297) has been constructed to make the most of its surroundings with its concertina doors from the living room, relax and enjoy the views from the decking area after a busy day out exploring. Park Lodge (ref 17329) has an open-plan living room with a cathedral ceiling, opening on to a well-equipped kitchen. Cairn View (ref 30456), as its name suggests, boasts a wonderful view towards Cairn O’Mount and sleeps 6 in comfort, ideal for families or couples. All three lodges have plenty of space between them, ensuring good levels of privacy. The local and surrounding area provides the perfect holiday for families, friends and couples of all ages. Visit Balmoral Castle, (open in summer to visitors), or tour Royal Deeside, which begs to be explored, with fantastic walks on moor and mountain, river and loch fishing, cycle trails and pony trekking, or take in the scenic majesty of Lochnagar. The popular town of Banchory is just 5 miles away with interesting shops and restaurants, and the area is renowned for its Highland Games in summer. Aberdeen is approximately 30 minutes’ drive with its theatres, bars, gardens and shopping centre, and when the weather starts to cool down, the ski resorts of Lecht and Cairngorm are easy to reach. Shop and pub 5 miles.

Cairn View is a lovely chalet - very clean and well cared for - and with a warm and covid friendly welcome. The location in the woods was great - really felt away from it all. Just what we needed.The view is wonderful too. It is a shame that the pub is closed - but we knew that when we booked and it is out of the control of the owners! The only thing I can think of to improve it would be a sieve in the kitchen - so I really am nitpicking! I would go back and I do recommend! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Had a great time here, very quiet and peaceful. Plenty to do in the area. Advertised a welcome pack but we only got a packet of shortbread, bit disappointing. That was our only negative. Would highly recommend.

Cosy ,spacious log cabin , enjoyed our holiday, kids loved the freedom to run about, Dogs loved it as well .

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Log cabin has wonderful views toward mountains which were clearly visible in the good weather we had. There were some MINOR irritations : no washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets or bin bags were provided. One bedroom did not appear to have been dusted. I suspect the above issues may have been a "one off" as the owner had been unwell prior our arrival. The numerous notes left pinned to walls were poorly written and some were contradictory. DO NOT let the above put you off going but check for these when you arrive.

Forgot to add a review in book at cairn view. But must say, it's a great place in many ways. Beds, comfort, etc. Place only 4 to 5 years old, that says it all for me.

A lovely position, very quiet and private with possible spotting of wildlife and birds.

A lovely position, very quiet and private with possible spotting of wildlife and birds. We had a few things that could be addressed but not enough to make a difference to our holiday stay enjoyment. A Hair dryer that needs to be replaced , a footrest on well worn leather seating was broken but comfortable never the less. We were there for a week and 4 days and were expected to use one pair of sheets for the whole period and one large towel each, there was no change which is not acceptable at all. hence my low score on comfort and equipment. The Microwave was not able to be used as it sat too high for safety as the two cooks are very short and the men were not always around to help. We had chosen this place for the peace and quiet which we had but also because we were expecting a restaurant at the bottom of the road to be open, but found it up for sale and not open for evening meals so if we wanted a meal it had to be Banchory.
