Would return!
Incredibly polite staff. Room was spacious and comfortable, with a big window and a pretty view. Breakfast was delicious, and I believe the choice was big enough to cater to everyone’s preferences. Convenient location, very close to everything, especially water (huge pro!).

Practical decent hotel next to city centre
The hotel is conviently located next to the old part of town and the harbour area. It appears to cater for a lot of business customers and the over all impression is medium state on all accounts! Nothing specific to emphasise, either good or bad. The noise from the road can be a bit disturbing so try to get a room facing the other way. The hotel parking is on offer for 15 € per night but when we visited plenty of free parking in the surrounding streets.

State of the art for 1970s! Huge stain on the carpet, curtains did not keep out bright early morning sunshine (6:00), early morning noise from the dock and local neighbourhood (I hope the man found his dog, he spent a long time calling for it at 06:00!). The coffee maschine leaked, everytime we made coffee we had to clean up, the minibar fridge was locked by the hotel for environmental reasons, pity as we usually keep milk there. Don't be fooled by its stylish appearance, all the other guests seemed to be with coach parties. Basically massively overpriced for such a poor hotel, at half the price & 2* it would have been OK as clean.

Pleasant & well located.
Friendly staff, good facilities and lovely view from large well equipped room. Convenient hotel garage but street parking also possible. Well located on edge of old town.

Rooms are much better than lobby
The hotel is in a great area, close to old town. We had great view of the bridge to Rugen, check in staff could not be any nicer. The lobby and hallways do not make a great first impression. The décor is outdated, the room furniture is outdated too. The lobby entry could use a deep cleaning, especially the entry doors. However the rooms were spotless. The bathrooms are updated - even if very simple, they are newly tiled and looks very nice. I have not been to other hotels in the Stralsund/Rugen area - so for all I know this is the standard and is great.

Wonderful Hotel and Great Staff!
We rented a two bedroom suite which had plenty of room and three comfortable beds and a large jack-and-jill type bathroom. The rooms were clean and exactly as described and it was wonderfully situated just outside of old town. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant as was everyone in town.

Location just outside Aldstadt-short walks to Harbour/Oceanaquarium/Station/Aldstadt.Parking/Sauna/Breakfast are extra.Executive room good size with desk/chairs/TV/luggage rack.no aircon & pillows useless.Bathroom small with shower over bath(should just have a shower).Reported table lamp broken(not fixed).Good Restaurant open for dinner.Bar staff rude-asked about local beers-response was cant you read menu & do you want it or nor?.Reception staff friendly/helpful with maps & postcards available to purchase.Tour buses with groups visit.Average hotel.

Nice hotel, close to many activities
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Baltic. It is a nice, clean hotel and is close to the Ozeaneum, restaurants and bars. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The only odd thing is that there are only hanging blinds between the two rooms, not allowing for much privacy. Overall though, a very nice place to stay.

good location within 10 minutes walk of old town sites including aquarium modern comfortable hoel wih bathubs,room safe,and good sized bar fridge to keep your drinks or fuit chilled.Onstreet parking for free available but if all spots taken garage charge of 9 EU very reasonable

We were put in a family room, 2 adults and two children. Room was very nice but had no ventilation at all. Window from the 3rd floor could be opened towards a street with a lot of traffic. It is hard to understand that a hotel says 4 stars, but has no ventilation in the room. We were given two rooms at the 6th floor towards the back street and that was OK. It has been a huge problems with ventilation during our holiday. Summer and no ventilation, streets with lots of traffic, can have a very bad influence on your holiday. The hotel is okay, but we do not recommend the family rooms. They are nice, but without ventilation towards a busy street. This is not good enough.

Central Location in Stralsund
Easy to go sightseeing in the Old Town of Stralsund, and then go back to the hotel for a rest, then go out for further walk around town or dinner. I booked through hotels.com for an incredible value.

Spacious and clean
Our room was big enough to sleep 4 comfortably and the bathroom with shower and bath tub was separate from the toilet w/sink, ideal for a family. Everything was very clean. We did not choose to have breakfast at the hotel, because it was quite expensive, but kids would have been free.

Nice modern hotel with pleasant, comfortable rooms and within easy reach of the old town. Minor drawbacks were: (i) building work nearby which started early (and had a materials delivery at about 04.00 hrs!), not that the hotel could be blamed for that; and (ii) no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which could be rectified easily.

Unklimatisierte Zimmer sind nicht zeitgemäß
Bei höherer Tagestemperatur half der kleine Tischventilator zur Abkühlung des Raums nur wenig bis überhaupt nicht. Die Fenster lassen sich zwar auch in der 7.Etage weit öffnen aber an Abkühlung ist nicht zu denken. An Schlafen mit geöffnetem Fenster aber auch nicht, da der Verkehrslärm vor dem Haus nicht endet. Ansonsten sind die Zimmer sauber und das Frühstück ordentlich.

Lärm durch Straßennähe: Durch die Lage des Zimmers direkt in Richtung Hauptstraße ist es äußerst unangenehm. (Andere Zimmer sind wahrscheinlich ruhiger) Tiefgarage teuer und enge Parkflächen. Sonst Hotel soweit OK.

All good so far, the view on the 7th floor was super nice. One thing I will say that needs to be changed urgently. The beds that you stand as a 3rd and 4th person in a room, so the extendable sofas are really uncomfortable. They should not be placed anywhere and certainly not in a hotel. You sleep better on an inflated camping mattress. I say this not to hurt anyone but so that no one is hurt ;-). I'm really not a raisin picking person, but it must be changed otherwise we as a family would no longer check in only for this reason.

Man erwartet sicherlich keine 5 Sterne, und nimmt daher wohlwollend in Kauf, dass z.B. Teppiche abgenutzt und fleckig wirken. Aber man erwartet, dass die vorhandenen Einrichtungen im angemessenen Zustand sind - was jedoch nicht der Fall war. Es gibt viele unschöne Nachlässigkeiten, angefangen von widersprüchlichen Zeitangaben für das Frühstück, über lockere und abstürzende Handtuchstangen oder abgenutzte Haartrockner, bis hin zu völlig undichten Duschen, deren Wasser sich entlang der Badezimmerwände ergießt. Das beworbene W-LAN war nur mit Unterbrechungen und stark eingeschränkt nutzbar, jedoch zeigte man sich einsichtig und kulant, was für den stets freundlichen Service vor Ort spricht.
