We stayed in the rear of the hotel called the Beach House for two nights and the room was clean and comfortable. We spent the first night without tea making facilities as the tray with this was in the wardrobe and we weren’t told. Going off to sleep was difficult as there was a constant droning noise from what may be a plant room underneath and/or an air con unit just outside the room window ! We got around this on the second night by using ear plugs as asking for a room move was not an option as the hotel was full. The restaurant for both breakfast and evening meals was very good and the staff attentive. We would stay again only in the sea front part of the hotel.
Great 2 night stay. Our rooms (executive) had fantastic seafront views and were comfortable and spacious. The reception staff were excellent; welcoming, informative and very helpful. Breakfast included was fine too, and again the staff were great.
Lovely holiday stay
Loved our executive room, fantastic view from the harbour right round to the beach and tennis courts. Friendly staff and lovely food, looking forward to our return!
great location, nice hotel. bedside lights didnt work, couldnt control the shower, to hot. nice sized room, would have preferred bedside lockers rather than little tables and a bigger t.v. overall, i liked it
Hotel was comfortable, staff friendly enough and breakfast was good. The main complaint was cleanliness. The stairs wer filthy and according to my wife the skirting boards in the room were thick with dust
This trip was to be a surprise for my wife. I had booked a sea view room and only apon arrival was told that there had been a mix up between the Marine hotel and Hotels.com and in fact there was no sea view room. The room we got faced out onto a roundabout on a busy road. We were given a difference refund but this did not make up for the disappointed of not having the sea view room. A member of staff had contacted me on Thursday to confirm covet information and also to ask about wether we wa ted a double or twin beds but did not indicate at that point there was an issue with the room.
Whilst the food was of a very high standard I felt extremely let down and would not stay at the Marine Hotel Ballycastle agai
My daughter and I stayed in the seaview room for 2 nights and had a wonderful time! The staff were so friendly and caring. They are very knowledgeable about the local areas which is handy aswell. This hotel is coming along wonderfully. Definitely comimg back.
We had a lovely stay for a great price (member secret price). Although the rooms are basic, they are very clean and are equipped with everything you'd need. The done was beautiful in the restaurant with a good selection of cocktails. The breakfast service was a bit slow and they ran put of things. Would definitely recommend and will be back again in the future. The Sea view room didn't disappoint and the location is very central.
Very busy on arrival as a warm day and on the seaside. Parking was next to the hotel but £5 for 24 hrs, we were told there was parking but cost not explained.
Asked about dinner and told a la carte menu was available however the dining experience was no more appealing than Butlins or Hi de Hi. Hard surfaces and noise gave the dining a nil point from us.
Add to that the lack lustre food both at dinner and breakfast was not up to standard.
Sea view room was comfortable but as to sanitised I am not sure, children’s fingerprints were on the bottom of the mirror and window. Staff cleaned the tables but did not clean the arms of the chairs or seat squabs. No smoking room? Why the cigarette stub on the outside windowsill
One plus point is that the staff were incredibly friendly and I am sure they have been a terribly tough time, hats off to them.
We had a wonderful overnight stay at the marine hotel - the room was lovely with a sea view - even though the hotel was on a main Street we heard no noise from outside. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a delicious meal - the mussels- omg the mussels were the best I’ve ever tasted and we are big mussels fans. It’s worth a trip just for them. The hotel was very clean and all covid regulations were strictly adhered to. Face coverings were worn by all staff members and guests. Vacated tables were swiftly cleaned and the bar/restaurant was well socially-distanced. Overall a lovely place to stay in a lively wee seaside town.
Supposed to be dog friendly however you can only eat and drink in so called library which is a bare room with a few tables and chairs Feel like a second class citizen for bringing your dog even though it costs extra.

Very noisy extractor fan in bathroom no toilet brush.
Restaurant, food tended to cool quickly especially breakfast, but given the situation ! CV .
