"Beautiful experience. Incredible views. Hospitality was outstanding. Dinner was delicious. Overall, the experience was worth every penny. It was cold of course, so pack warm. And if you’re going to check in at 2pm, I suggest bringing some snacks to tie you over until dinner; although, dinner, and late night snacks were great!"

"1100 plus rooms but no way to check in before the 2:00 time line as “your room is not ready” was the answer for 90 minutes. The place was so empty and quiet they shut down the restaurant and kiosk. If you look close you can see the dirt. So don’t look too closely"

"Check in late and stayed only for 3hours. Had to catch a flight. Can’t get myself to touch the blanket- got spider sitting on it when I turned on the lights. No lights in vanity/wash sink section. Website pictures of the room are very misleading. Very old, moldy corner, sink not wiped down, clothes storage area all scratch/dirty, cabinet/sink rims are lined with dirt. Just wash face and feet. Didn’t use the bed. Checked in 11pm, got only a key-check in lady can’t speak English? Left at ...

"About the hotel, the room is nice, pretty and clean. It should cost about 600K VND for the taxi directly from airport, half if you are in Cam Ranh center. The hotel located at middle of ... nothing but really nice since it just few hundreds meters to an empty beach, you can find some small restaurants and family shop nearby. You should ask if it safe to swim. "

Only complaint is getting to the homestay is quite tough since your grab driver cannot drive through the narrow road and there isn't a sign or direction to lead you towards the homestay. Also you will paying lots of money on grab to take you to Da Lat famous landmark and town because it is so far up the mountain."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bac Ai?
The best area to stay in Bac Ai is typically around the main town centre, as it offers the most convenient access to local amenities and attractions.

This central area, though smaller than a bustling city, provides a practical base for exploring the region. You'll find local markets, eateries, and guesthouses clustered along the main thoroughfares, making it easy to access daily necessities. It's the hub for local life and a good starting point for day trips into the surrounding countryside.

For those looking to experience local culture and connect with the community, staying near the town centre is ideal. It allows for easy interaction with residents, sampling authentic cuisine, and observing daily life. This is particularly suitable for solo travellers or couples interested in an authentic, less tourist-centric experience.
When is the best time to go to Bac Ai?
The best time to visit Bac Ai, Ninh Thuan Province, is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

This period offers consistently sunny weather and low humidity, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the Nui Chua National Park or visiting local vineyards. You'll find the conditions great for enjoying the region's natural beauty without the interruption of rain.

For those looking to experience the local culture and festivals, scheduling your visit around August or September can be particularly rewarding.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation.
