Mooie locatie maar kleine kamer

De accommodatie bestaande uit diverse kamers ligt bovenop een berg met schitterend uitzicht. De kamer van ons was vrij klein, het tweepersoonsbed past er net in, achter het bed weinig loopruimte. De badkamer is normaal van grootte. De begeleiding ter plaatste is behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is normaal. Het diner kan ter plaatse gebruikt worden, maar we hebben door omstandigheden hiervan geen gebruik gemaakt. De prijzen voor dit diner waren wel vrij fors.

L’hôtel typique des campagnes siciliennes, le bâtiment est sublime. Le personnel est très accueillant. Les chambres très bien . Bon matelas .Le repas du soir est exelant , avec une vie à couper le soufffle ! Leurs antipasti étaient incroyables. La piscine très agréable .

Beautiful Spot, Delicious Food

Turismo Rurale Avola Antica is 8 km above Avola off highway SP4, which is very winding but in good condition, then a further 2 km on Contrada Avola Antica. You will know you are close when you see the ultramodern solar and wind powered street lamps along the road. The trip is worth it. Rooms are off the central courtyard in the traditional arrangement. They are a bit dark, with only one window, but are clean, of good size and with a comfortable bed. The pool is large and inviting, overlooking the valley and out to sea. The chef here is superb. There is no menu, just reserve your evening meal and be prepared for creative, delicious courses using local ingredients. Absolutely delicious. All staff were friendly, professional and helpful. This is a great place to relax after a day of touring Syracuse, or exploring the Cava Grande or as a destination in itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay here. Be aware that for now, the map shown on Hotels.com only directs you to the beginning of Highway SP4, not to the actual hotel location. Enter Avola Antica Turismo Rurale on your GPS for directions.
