Our stay at this hotel was very nice. We enjoyed the amenities and their restaurant for dinner. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Will stay here again in the future.

I really liked the hotel, I loved the architecture, and I give thumbs up for the service but I definitely prefer a quiet night in my opinion the ambient of the Hotel should be more orientated to a place to enjoy the birds and nature the music was too loud

The good: the hotel has good facilities and a variety of entertainment options. The vast majority of the staff is very friendly. The average: the rooms are standard, but could be better equipped. For example, the bathrooms could have better quality toiletries and include essentials such as shampoo. At the moment they only include a multipurpose soap. The food is not bad, but could be better. The bad thing: the service at the front desk was lousy and unfortunately damaged the whole hotel experience. The people in charge not only lack good customer service, but we suspect they are involved in illegal activities. Our experience started when they forced us to pay VAT when we explained a thousand times that we are not residents of Colombia and we checked in with an international passport and we had the supporting documents proving that we do not reside in the country. They did not give us the exception because we did not have a stamp in our passport. Which does not prove our non-residence. They didn't bother to verify our documents, but made us pay the tax. The worst: my husband sarcastically told the man with glasses at the reception desk (they don't use name tags), that he was going to pay with his "Colombian resident card", which annoyed him. Within 20 minutes my husband's card received 5 fraudulent charges that although we have NO proof, we believe that the man at the front desk is allegedly behind this scam. The property was close to the airport as it's own redeeming factor. Unfortunately we booked the Mocawa hotel in mistake thinking we had the Mocowa Resort. When we changed to the resort they kept the other hotel charge despite us cancelling it. So we essentially paid twice. We tried to resolve this with Expedia and in person but they still charged us twice. Will never stay with Mocowa agian. Besides there are better hotels for families in the area. I strongly recommend Hotel Camelias near Parque de Cafe. Much nicer, more accommodating, better food, and amazing, atmosphere.

Not a true resort experience
Hotel Manager Sara extremely rude and unhelpful, didn’t provide any sort of solution. Unfortunately not what we excepted from a “resort” standard. Friendly and kind service, but very understaffed. Also, the hotel has no security guard on premise and we didn’t feel safe. Especially when we saw guests checking in with hand guns tucked underneath their shirts. We ended up dining inside the room because some guests at the restaurant we’re speaking vulgar language and again no one on premise to remind them it’s a family environment. Rooms were very clean and had all the amenities.

Beautiful property! the gardens were stunning, the food was delicious and the people were nice. The only improvement I suggest is the service at the restaurants, is a little slow. Maybe need to hired more workers so the ones there are not overstretched. Thank you so much for a great time!

Absolutely loved my stay here. The resort is beautiful and all of the employees are fantastic and welcoming. The pool is huge and you can actually swim around. I do wish they cleaned the pool more often as there are many dead bugs in the water. Overall our stay was fantastic, also the food is really good in their restaurant Colors.

The staff very friendly, good breakfast, but they need better bio security at the pool, didn’t see someone cleaning the tanning beds after people use them, also at dinner ask for salt and they brought it from a table someone just use it , with the virus they should train better their waitstaff . Sunday they have a lady telling people not to stay to long in the restaurant, that was about it.

The atmosphere at the Mocowa is relaxing and family friendly. The food is excellent with a wide variety for even the pickiest of eaters, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Mocowa to anyone looking for a little slice of paradise to escape too

Excellent premises, very nice people, but resort has a big problem on the kitchen and bars. Having a simple beverage can take you more than 30 minutes and getting a plate in the restaurant more than 70 minutes. Because of its localization there is no alternatives for drinks and food near by so you are stuck with this very poor service.

This resort is a great spot for a vacation, the facilities are excellent, the food is unbelievable, the staff is wonderful and friendly always willing to help, kids can enjoy different activities, adults as well. I will stay here again.

Overall, the stay was good. There were numerous problems with the check-in; the room was not ready for two hours, the Hotels.com status was not recognized or honored, and the food served in the restaurant was of poor quality and undercooked. Despite the first impressions, the main disappointment was with the lack of communication or resolution from the staff. Not once were we contacted by the manager, nor was a resolution offered. We did enjoy the resort overall, and only experienced problems during our first few hours. It’s a beautiful location and there is plenty to do.

We left one day before and they didn’t noticed it. The adult channels are 469 and 470, between channels for kids!!! Great restaurant, landscaping and playing room. Rude front desk staff (girls) with a very inappropriate passports handling and questions. No glass windows, mosquitoes come in or you close the wood doors and you are in a box without light. Transportation has to be waited 30 minutes. Overpriced coffee cup in the heart of the coffee region !

Great Resort - Terrible Service
Beautiful well maintained resort with unfortunately terrible service in a number of areas: 1) Check-in / Registration nightmare. - We arrived at the resort at 1PM. Told room would not be ready until 3PM. I get on line to register at 250PM. 530PM and my room is still not ready! And I was not alone. Most of the guest rooms where not ready at 3PM or 4PM. 2) Get ready to take cold showers. - There was no hot water in my room during 90% of my stay. Do they turn off the heaters to keep costs down? Terrible. You may like cold showers, if so this is place for you. If not, look elsewhere. I called the front desk one of the days dureing my stay. They sent up a maintance person who must have turn on the hot water temporarily. Because that night...no more hot water. Brrrrrrr.... 3) Good breakfast and Lunch, but terrible Buffet. Do yourself a favor do NOT buy the buffet. It was terrible and yet they want to charge 40,0000 COP for it! I don't mind paying for quality, but you would be better off eating at a McDonalds. This was off as Colombian food is very tasty. Lunch by the pool, and breakfast was excellent. The Buffet dinner must have another chef. Avoid at all cost the buffet dinner. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. The workfers very friendly and tried to be helpful. Shame about the services I mention above. Look elsewhere until management fixes these issues.
