The owners were so gracious and accommodating. The dinner was a multi-course delight and the area around this part of the Douro Valley was just spectacular. Highly recommend staying here if you like things a little off the beaten path.
This was a very unexpected and wonderful experience. The location is in a very small town. Make sure you use google maps or you might go to the wrong location. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. The husband is a chef and will cook you an amazing dinner and they have wonderful wines from their vineyard. The vineyard is operated by their twin daughters and it is a great story. If you are in the area this is definitely the place you want to stay.
An incredible location but you definitely need a car to get there. It’s high up in the hills. Narrow roads but easy to find with Google maps.
Host does not speak English but daughters do. Beautiful continental breakfast with sliced meats & cheese, yogurt, cereals and muesli, coffee, tea, jams & cake.
The owners are awesome. Very welcoming and hospitable.
They go over and beyond to assure your needs are met.
Situated in a beautiful setting. The house is beautiful and the room are great.
Owners extremely accomodating and gracious, even cooking dinner for us! Breakfeast yet to come. Like a lovely private home stay for just 1 night. Location characteristic of grandparents time of life in the middle of a town surrounded by apple orchards and grape vinyards. 5 stars!
This family run hotel is worthy of a higher review than just 5/5 - every aspect of our stay here was first rate and that was made possible by the attentive staff and family members looking after us like we were family! The daily breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruits, juice, coffee and even fresh baked bread! Even the family’s brown Labrador was available for ear scratches or belly rubs while my wife and I enjoyed wine in the courtyard. I can’t say enough about this wonderful little hotel! Thanks for a great visit!
Everything was amazing! Hosts are very hostile and friendly. I had a half marathon run in the day of our checkout and host kindly let us stay longer for me to move back from Regua and have a shower and lunch! Really loved it!
And the House is really cozy and comfortable, lot of fancy plates, ceramics and nice details.
Breakfast isn't quite big, but delicious - huge variety of home made jams, fresh bread and cheese. Ymmy!
The hotel is situation in a small mountain top village with winding roads and beautiful views. It is also on a hiking trail if you fancy a long walk.
The hotel has excellent facilities with free parking outside (no height restrictions). It was extremely clean and hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good with a lot of choice.
We did find it a little difficult to find (partly due to tiredness) but the hotel is just across the road from the parking area and church.
Would definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere quiet with stunning views.
Exceptional family owned and run property; Luis and Zulmira could not be better hosts. They were warm and engaging tending to any request during the three nights we were there.
Breakfast was excellent, with many choices, and the common areas are well decorated and very comfortable.
The room we had was large, and well laid out with a comfortable chair, desk & writing chair, built in wardrobe, and a balcony.
One night we had Luis prepare a traditional dinner for us, which we enjoyed very much. We also found an excellent local rosé to go with dinner; we were able to stop by the winery and pick some up the next day.
Overall an exceptional property, made better by the owners and everyone associated with them.
We will definitely book this property again when we return to Portugal.
Service impeccable!
