"Reasonable rate for a very safe and secure area. Ideal for female travelers travelling alone. Very clean and comfortable rooms, bedding, bathroom. Plan to always go there when I'm in the area, can't be beat. Last year I was at a nearby hotel, it was okay, but the surroundings did not make me feel secure coming and going at night. At the current place, its location is like Fort Knox, surrounded by fencing, and ingress/ egress are only available to hotel guests, It may be difficult to locate the entry but that's the advantage, nobody can find it except those guests looking for it. A little inconvenience is certainly worth the security it provides."

"The staff here are super friendly and helpful. I've been coming to this location for a few years as a stop on my way to Virginia and even though my visits are 6-8 months apart the staff recognize me and it's like catching up while checking in rather than being transactional. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and a good size. While the pool is a nice feature, it's clear it doesn't get cleaned regularly as the tiles show some buildup and they've had kids kinda scratch their names or initials into the buildup that hasn't been cleaned since I was there months ago. Also, it would be nice if it were warmer, but that's minor as it's still refreshing, especially after a long drive. The Bistro/bar closes randomly, I'm guessing due to staffing issues, and this can be problematic as sometimes you don't want to leave the hotel for dinner, but you have no choice. The variety at the Bistro/bar is decent, and portion size is good when it is open. Other Marriott hotels offer free amenities like coffee and snacks when you arrive and I think this hotel could benefit from that too. Overall, I keep coming back to this hotel because the staff and the room always meet the expectation, even if some of the expected features aren't always perfect(Bistro specifically). They are also really close to a lot of restaurants and food options, so if you have to travel it's minutes at most."

"I booked this hotel because it was pet friendly and close to where we had plans. I knew from research that the hotel was outdated, but I thought that it might be kind of fun to stay there. I was very disappointed by the uncleanliness of the hotel. From the garbage all throughout the property and surrounding woods, the mildew smell throughout the hotel and rooms, and filthy patio furniture with cobwebs all over them. There is a broken down plow truck at the entrance to the hotel and then the old cars in the entranceway (which could be cool) were filthy. I understand that they are keeping the 1960's theme, but they should be required to better maintain the facilities."

"The staff was great. We had a couple of issues that they took care of immediately. They were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was only cereal with 2 choices fruit and wrapped pastries. No juice or cold drinks"

"The breakfast was the best part of the stay. The food was good and the staff kept the area clean. They were helpful and very personable. The building looks to be fairly new but was in terrible condition. The shower was especially bad. Mold in the caulking and grout. And the shower was gross. We couldn’t wait to get home and take another shower. The bed was fairly comfortable and the linen appeared clean but the HVAC unit made so much noise we had to shut it off to sleep. It was 41 degrees outside. We thought about the pool but it was cloudy and smells super strongly of chlorine. And no hot tub. We definitely won’t stay there or probably at any Sleep in again. "

"This is a hotel that urgently needs maintenance and renovation. Everything feels outdated, and the bedding is old and worn. Almost every time I stay here, I have to change rooms due to maintenance issues. The last time, for example, the toilet in my room was leaking. Despite these problems, the price is similar to competitors that offer much better infrastructure. For instance, the DoubleTree is newer and often more affordable."
