Adjoining both sides of the unit, the patio creates an ideal entertaining space with incredible ambiance. The Plaza Perch offers a perfect blend of old-world elegance and modern comforts--this is an ideal place for a stay on the redwood coast. The space Centrally located in the charming, college town of Arcata, this unique upstairs apartment offers a cozy and unique retreat for your stay. This two-bedroom, one-bath unit is a blend of historical charm and modern comfort. The two bedrooms are adjoined by an outdoor patio, perfect for family gatherings and entertaining your guests. The secondary bedroom is only accessible via the open air patio, and the only bathroom is located in the main house. Step inside and discover the historical details that give this space its character. From the original hardwood floors and vintage fixtures, every corner tells a story. Unwind after a long day of exploring in the jacuzzi bathtub and wind down with a bottle of local wine on the deck. Whether you're exploring the nearby redwood forests or strolling through the quaint downtown area, this unit is the perfect home base for your Arcata adventure. Guest access Guests will have access to two parking spots designated to the unit just outside of the alley access area (or about 100 feet from the garage/entry point to the unit). Guests will have to use a keypad to open the garage, and from the garage there are two small flights of stairs before you arrive at the unit. The only way in and out of the unit is through the garage/exterior door in the garage. Guests will have access to the entire unit, including the patio area and secondary suite. There is a large laundry room with in-unit washer and dryer, usage of which is included in your stay. Other things to note The only bathroom has both a shower and bathtub that are seperate from each other in the bathroom. For those staying out in the guest suite, please note that you will have to cross the outdoor patio to the main house in order to use the bathroom. The bathroom has it's own private entrance and is not an en suite to the primary bedroom. There are two flights of stairs that must be taken to get to the main entrance. The only way to get in and out of the unit is through the garage/exterior door in the garage. The architecture was beautiful and full of character, and the location couldn’t have been better. Everything we needed was just a short walk away. The space was very clean and well-maintained, which made settling in easy. While there was some late-night noise from the surrounding area and the fire alarm in the smaller unit was beeping, overall, the experience was very enjoyable.
