"Very nice location, excellent breakfast buffet"

"Large, clean, well appointed room and bathroom. The mattress was in good condition (no sagging in the middle or the side). Lighting was good. Blackout curtains provided privacy and insulation against the sun and the air con worked well. Reception was polite, efficient and knowledgeable checking in and out. Several restaurants available within the hotel including an Italian venue with excellent food and service. Bottled water was used in food prep and ice for drinks. No Pharaoh’s curse! A grand hotel located about 15 mins. from the airport but about 45 mins. from site seeing activities. I would definitely stay here again."

"PROS: Staff (concierge, valet, general) were respectful, courteous, knowledgeable; room was clean and fresh. Meal package was well worth the price with great views, great staff and great food (actual chefs in the kitchen)! CON: The bank staff onsite was rude, abrasive, not well organized and took forever for the simplest transactions, there would be tellers doing seeminglynothing while one person tends the line out the door, the atm just outside the hotels bank did not work, I almost deducted a star for this but the great service elsewhere in the hotel made up for it."

"This hotel in new and fancy, in a great, walkable area, but the best part is the great people who work there! Mostafa and Youstina were great helping with tour and appointments. They really made our stay special! When we return to Cairo, this is DEFINITELY where we will stay! They make everything so easy and comfortable. 2 notes: the elevator does not go to the 1st flor. And it is a little confusing to find."

"A monstrously decadent grand building full of Africa princes and wedding guests. Wonderful reception areas very grand. The rooms are functional and more corporate but lacking a desk to work at - chair/desk at wrong height and clustered with coffee making facilities. Bathroom was great, but a little tired and the shower wasn’t wide enough, even for a skinny lad. Nice balcony and lovely grounds in gated compound. Didn’t seem to be near anything interesting."

"This is a 5* experience in the Islamic quarter. Since it’s a renovated soap factory, every space is different, and it’s the luck of the draw if you get the owners suite (bro’s room) or a smaller room that requires contortions in the bathroom. But with a new elevator, everyone has access to the multiple common spaces. Freshly made breakfasts and dinners are shared around a large table where everyone plans their days events. Tours are suggested and guides are provided. Or you can sit in the main level and watch artesian work. Venturing out the door at 7 pm to wander through the Islamic quarter and watch life happen was memorable. Finally, I have never arrived at 10:30 pm to find a host that wanted to make us a late supper while he explained the hotel. Cold and hot drinks were available 24/7. My new home in Cairo."

"Staff at time of my check in was very friendly and co-operative. Room is nice and clean, we have electric kettle in room but no tea, milk or coffee so please get your own tea bags or coffee sachet with you otherwise there is plenty available around there. Location is brilliant and very close to many city attractions, plenty of shopping around and metro station in nearby. Lot of local street food is there in that area. Breakfast is very basic but served the purpose. Overall, good experience, clean, nice room and it is definitely worth staying there in medium budget."
