This hotel is right in the centre of Apeldoorn, handy for the large number of shops, the market (Saturday), parks and gardens and the railway station (from where a steam-hauled train operates daily on summer).
The hotel is full of character, with a nice atmosphere and courteous and friendly staff. The room was comfortable enough, although the incredibly steep staircase took some getting used to and need caution. It was one of two triple bed family rooms, generous size with huge bathroom and overlooking the main square. We had no trouble with noise. The food was excellent. Breakfast was somewhat casual, alright when we got used to foraging for what was needed. A frying pan was provided so that one could do one's own eggs, although a passing staff was happy to make omelettes for us.
We will definitely stay there again.
