Ideale lokatie midden in het centrum van Antwerpen, maar wel nét uit de toeristische drukte. Het oude klooster als lokatie is prachtig. Ik had gehoopt dat dat ook in het hotel doorgetrokken zou zijn, maar dat is helaas niet het geval. Interieur is goed, maar een beetje gedateerd. Gelukkig brengt de ontvangen gastvrijheid ruim voldoende evenwicht om er een volgende keer weer met veel plezier naar uit te kijken.

Lovely historic landmark

This was a lovely place to stay, I would certainly stay here again. Parts of the building date back to the 1400's, it's full of antiques, artwork, sculptures, has two beautiful inner courtyards, and abuts a botanical garden. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are newish and clean, the buffet breakfast was great, and the staff was extremely helpful. And after a busy day running around the city the courtyard is the perfect place to sit and relax. Unfortunately they don't serve beverages in the courtyard, so bring you own.

Bella struttura in edificio storico in centro

Hotel situato in centro, a poca distanza dalle attrrazioni principali di Anversa, comodissimo per "esplorare" la città anche a piedi. La struttura è meravigliosa, in un antico convento con annessa una cappella ed un giardino dall'aspetto misterioso e affascinante. Le camere sono comfortevoli e pulite, pur non essendo grandissime nè moderne. Nel complesso comunque molto positivo! Consigliato!!!

A place full of character

Overall we were happy with our stay. It's a charming hotel, in a quiet part of the city but within a very easy walking distance to the main square. The rooms are comfortable, but would benefit from a bit of renovation. Breakfast was fine - not a huge, sumptuous spread but perfectly adequate for our needs.

Worst hotel ever!

I booked the Elzenveld after reading the reviews... Imagine then what a shock then to find the hotel is nothing like the reviews nor their 'photos'. We were given room 123 - a lovely big room and that was it! The carpet was stained, the curtains didn't close properly and the upholstery on one of the seats torn. In the wardrobe were 2 safes - neither could be used as they were locked and clearly just dumped in the cupboard. Not all the light sockets worked and the ones that did kept the lamp light flickering! The bathroom was awful... the shower door was not properly fitted, the water seal half ripped off and the drainage very bad! At Breakfast there were 2 lovely young ladies (one from Syria the other Rwandan) - they were helpful and efficient... unfortunately (despite us being told there were only 6 guests expected or staying overnight) there was a shortage of bread rolls... the breakfast was nothing special - a bit of cold meal, cardboard cheese, horrible yogurt, fruit juice, a few breads and cereal. I piad £109 and it was not worth even £40! Most disappointed and will definitely not recommend this hotel to family and friends... MOST DISAPPOINTED and feel ripped off!

Great value hotel in an historic building.

A very interesting building with a lot of atmosphere. Very good value indeed. Rooms quite small but comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. strongly recommended as a budget hotel in central Antwerp.

Prima hotel midden in de binnenstad

Gied hotel. Prima kamer en goed bed. Het is een heel oud gebouw en de kamers zijn modern genoeg maar niet helemaal perfect maar dat mag in zo'n gebouw ook. Super ontbijt. Alleen geen bar in het hotel (gelukkig tegenover wel) en parkeren is minder handig maar een hele goede parkeergarage op 5 min lopen

Un hôtel inhabituel, très bien situé.

Un bon point de chute, de qualité, qui nous a permis de bien profiter du centre historique et de faire de belles balades. Nous avons également pu profiter des boutiques. Trouver un restaurant, surtout le soir a été très simple.

Historic building in the heart of old Antwerp

The hotel and conference centre is a complex of historic buildings dating from the 15th to the 17th centuries, set in gardens. The chapel (used for exhibitions, etc.) has a spectacular baroque interior.
