Clean and modern hotel and close walking distance to the train station, about 10 minutes. 10 minutes the other way and in the main shopping centre with the historical centre about a 20 minute walk. Room was clean, tidy, modern and a nice powerful shower. Staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but fine though the walls are paperthin and you hear everything. Also the pillows, I know this is very personal, are terrible! Some issues with the tech in the room (the tv occasionally refused to remain switched off and the air con defaulted to 21C every time the room key was removed) but overall a 4\* experience from a 3\* rating. We had an issue with the shower curtain, which did nothing to prevent water seeping into the rest of the bathroom. The staff solution was to offer a change of room but, as it had the same layout, it would have made no difference so we stayed put. Our room had a number of adjustments to enhance accessibility (handrails at various points in the bathroom); however, the light switch was behind the bathroom door (inside the bathroom) and the hairdryer, fixed to the wall to the left of the large sink, had a short flex. Neither seemed to improve matters. Blijkbaar schoongemaakt met een schoonmaakmiddel wat een laagje achterlaat wat glad is. De deuren van de kamers gaan hard dicht, een deurdranger, soft close systeem oid zou helpen.
