Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour"Check in was very accommodating and friendly. We were allowed to check in early. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very convenient location - near harbor, ferry, places to eat, and light rail was just in front of the property. Wear and tear is obvious as the property fixtures appear old and have seen much use. Not enough light in the rooms. Tapping and hammering were heard at 7:30AM near our room as if there was someone fixing something in the Housekeeping section beside our room - waking us up....

Only 1 Elevator was working at times as 1 was shut down for upgrading and the 3rd was upgraded but not working 24/7. Rooms need an upgrade and carpets need to be changed. Bathrooms are not suitable for older guests as it requires some maneuvering around the bathtub. The floor will inevitable get wet during a shower"
