One of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed in, peaceful, private, and an escape from the busy centre. The breakfast spread was great and the staff very kind. The only downside was noise from a property behind our room, with a lot of noise and music playing throughout the night.

Wonderful property - we loved the owner, he is very kind and welcoming and all the staff are so helpful. The area is very convenient and off the main street so it's very peaceful. We loved the helpful info booklet in the room and great breakfast too!

Lovely inn only 7 minutes walk from the port. Hidden away in the rainforest, the rooms are idyllic and the host, Rennie, is amazing - provides you with so much information about what to do, where to go and so much more. They also have a delicious breakfast and afternoon tea everyday and can do your washing. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Thank you :)

Simply the best

In November 2023 my wife Samantha and I embarked on a 4 month tour of South America travelling through 5 different countries. We stayed in dozens of hostels, apartments, condominiums, guesthouses and quite simply the Aratinga Inn was the best place by far. Nothing is too much trouble for the fabulous host Rennie. I could go on and on but I’m just going to finish with this, it is no surprise this beautiful space is rated No.1 on this site, thank you Rennie for a perfect few days on that incredible island

Renee was so welcoming, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She helped us “get on island time” as soon as we arrived and paid attention to all the small details to help make our stay even more fun. The place is embedded in the Atlantic forest, beautiful trees, plants and many kinds of flowers. Really gorgeous property. The access street was not finished and a light post was broken. That made it a little sketchy to get there. Also, just in case, there's a small hill to get there, Not good for anyone with impaired mobility. . The room was well clean, mattress was very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, staff super helpful! Our room/cabin was VERY humid, not much sunshine in the cabins due to the dense forest around it. The musty smell inside our cabin triggered my asthma. Lastly, the old, noisy A/C was not useful at all...

Super séjour chez Rennie !!

Excellente expérience chez Rennie. L’hôtel est propre, la literie est bonne et il est très bien localisé (au calme tout en étant proche des commodites et activités). Rennie est très très gentille et de très bon conseil pour passer un excellent moment sur Ilha Grande. Les petits déjeuner et le tea time quotidien sont fabuleux avec des pâtisseries faites maison et que des bonnes choses.
