Very friendly staff, hotel is on the old side but all the staff are nice. My room was in decent shape for the age. Room had a small stove top and microwave, would definitely stay there again just because of the staff.
Staff are really kind and sweet. That is the only plus.
But unless you are really on a tight budget.. please avoid booking this hotel like I did. The rooms unfortunately are really hard to stay in comfortably due to smells of smoke and pee. 😢
Rm is very clean and clean with a stovetop you could cook better then ordering food and safe and the staff is very nice and very helpful. Safe hotel for family's
.
This is one of the most affordable places to stay in Anchorage - so if you need to crash for a night after a long flight, it is serviceable. The property is very rough, lots of holes in the wall, broken items in the bathroom, cigarette burns on the sheets, and not really maintained very well at all. If you have any allergies or sensitives - avoid. The rooms do not have A/C but ours did have an old fan we cold put in the window. If you are thinking this will be like a lower 48 Hampton Inn or Comfort Inn, guess again, its several steps down from that. We did have a fine stay though - we were pretty beat and needed the rest and the staff is very nice.
VERY old and rundown. Floor needs to be replaced. All furniture looks like they picked it up on the side of the road because it was all set out for the trash. DON'T take a room near the office!! Noisy, doors slamming all night long. No sleep! A beeping alarm went for a good hour early in the morning. The security lock was missing. Couldn't close our window since the knob was missing.
The bathroom had been updated-not especially great but was in pretty nice shape. Bed was the most comfortable but the newer sheet set was nice

Exceptional customer service quiet spot definitely caught my zzz's
I always hate to give a review that's not good, and a lot of times I don't. However, I really feel like I should weigh in on this one. The pros: When we had interaction with them, the staff were kind and helpful. There was heat and hot water. The cons: I'm just going to say.... I feel like they are totally misrepresented on Expedia. The pictures look nothing like any of it. They seem to be making an effort to make improvements, but they've got a long way to go.
Check-in was good, showed us the room, as we arrived late. Was going to stay another night but decided to move on.

The front desk staff was very helpful during check in. They made room in their fish freezer for my salmon. The check out was very smooth too. Friendly folks.
I found bed bugs and asked for new sheets, which also had bug debris. The whole building smelled so bad I left for the airport an additional 2 hours early. The room was just gross. Half of the buttons on the remote didn't work. The light socket in the bathroom was broken. Just all around, probably the worse accommodations i've ever had. If I were to give it a price, I think I'd maybe pay $10 if I had to stay there. I returned to the hotel after my trip around 11:30pm and seriously considered leaving and finding another hotel. I paid $140. Very nice staff, I wanted to support local business but this was tough not to bring attention to. The smell was still on my shirt at the airport.

Property was very dated, but cheaper than alternatives. Room was clean.
Staff was VERY VERY friendly. Location was perfectly convenient. Rooms were outdated and dirty. Neighboring guests were very loud the entire night. We didn’t have any running water in the last morning.
Property couldn’t provide the queen beds we booked and said they’re now full take it or leave it. Staff not very friendly probably from the clientele they deal with there. Area was rough and not a tourist place to stay. Luckily we got a refund and booked elsewhere.
This place is not unique. It is a poorly run and very old motel. The chrome fixtures in the bathroom we’re all rested. There were holes in the wall. No services no towels for several hours. Had to ask for toilet paper and it was very uncomfortable surroundings. Did not feel safe. As for non-smoking all that means is they can’t smoke in the room. They just stand outside and blow smoke through your windows. And oh by the way, we couldn’t turn the heat off so the room was overly heated as the floor heater was broken. All it did was put out heat.

Friendly staff, clean, fridge & microwave in room, no strange smells, quiet in the morning but loud at night (bring earplugs), significant deferred maintenance mostly limited to paint & drywall.
I am trying be kind but my father would remind me that honesty is the best policy. Now the staff were very respectful and kind, that being said lets talk about the stay itself.
Each bed had notable cigarette burns through the comforters and stains on the mattress of who knows what Dexter episode happened there. The window could not close and the fence had razor wire, and our dead bolt for our door was sheared off. I don't know if they forgot to put it on after they found out that the guy was wearing a wire. However, they did give us a full size fridge and that worked as a temporary barricade so I guess that was a bonus. Now they had hot water which is always a bonus, but it couldn't distract me from the give that the bottom of the tub was giving. And with missing strips of the floor boards it wouldn't be to far to say that there was moisture in the floor system that would show sign of decay. Diffidently a place that keeps you alert but makes you appreciate the more finer things in life. Well is was out of desperation, but after sleeping on a double layering of plastic sheets from the local Fred Myers, we lived. That was until our lovely reenactment of "Jan Levinson" right outside our door that made it sound like it was in our room at 2 in the morning. I think they need a bible to reference all the things that probably happened in the room prior to our stay there.
I laugh when I look back, sure. But if I were to go back it would give it a notice of foreclosure and demolish.

The folks at Creekwood were extremely kind and helpful. It had the most comfortable mattress of any place we stayed on a multi city trip!
The building is older and could use some remodeling but it was cleaner than I expected. And for pricey Anchorage, the Creekwood was a great value!
It’s not far from Merrill Field, where most of the small planes to remote areas depart. There’s also an REI in walking distance to the hotel. But the Creekwood’s staff really were the best part.
