"Loved everything about this hotel.. except our way too short stay. Room was spacious with plenty of room for my kids and I. There was something for everyone. We loved the beach, water park, dining options, entertainment and competition (we participated in dart and trivia). Food was plentiful with fresh, tasty and healthy options. Great entertainment."
"The service we received at Atlantica Caldera Palace was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with mojitos for us to enjoy while we checked in. The hotel wasn’t certain what time we would arrive, so had arranged food and drinks to be provided for us in our room. It was also our honeymoon and the hotel wasn’t aware before we arrived. On our second night we returned to the room to find a bottle of wine, fruits and other snacks and a letter from the hotel to congratulate us and...
"Great family run hotel. Very charming! Staff are nice and friendly. The food was very good. Beach is 5 min walk from the hotel. The bus stop to get to Heraklion is less than 20 min walk. I would recommend a car though. We had an amazing holiday!"
"Extremely nice, helpfull nasd smiling staff at the hotel. Drom the receptionist to the waterpark staff. I travelled with my 12 yo son and we both enjoyed it very much. Just one thing if you are VIP in Expedia it is good to drop an email before arrival. "
"The promity of the property to the beach, pool, restaurant and supermarket is perfect, however some rooms need maintenance. There is no air conditioning or fans available and the WiFi is limited to the restaurant area. The staff are friendly and welcoming, but the property is a little tired. "

"Short one night stop over in Heraklion. Hotel was lovely, bed very comfortable and breakfast was very good. The only comment I would make was the bathroom wasn’t completely separate to the bedroom, separate toilet but the shower and wash basin were in the bedroom. Would have preferred a bit more privacy "

"Great hotel, close to Hersonissos (small town with restaurants, bars, gift shops and nightlife). Staff are always happy to help and very welcoming and friendly. Buffet was really good, lots of options at breakfast, lunch and dinner, options for everyone even the fussier eaters. Would highly recommend"

"Lovely resort, incredibly family friendly. Kids club is great if child is over 3 years old.
Very relaxing stay, only downside is beach is quite rocky compared to others visited in Crete, but you can always use the pool. "

"Finding the hotel was easy and check-in went by quick. I can’t remember much about the elevator in terms of size, but I do know that my mom and I, alongside each of our carry-on bags, fit just fine. The room was clean and the beds were good. I had no problems with noise and I am a light sleeper. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is close to harbour and close to the main area of the city. It also close to two bus stations (one being the main bus station).
The only small thing that I noticed was that the door that led to the balcony wouldn’t lock. I tried several times, but the lock just wouldn’t latch on.
The area also felt safe, which was very important to us since we were two female travellers and we had to check out at around 2:00AM to catch the ferry. Even at that time of night, we didn’t feel unsafe walking around with our luggage.
Overall, it was a good stay that is positioned well in the city. "
