Find hotels in Ambo Village

The best area to stay in Ambo Village is along the main coastal road, particularly near the Parliament Building and the National Stadium.

This stretch of road is the most developed part of Ambo, offering the easiest access to the village's limited facilities. You'll find a few local shops and eateries here, and it's where most of the administrative buildings are located. The area provides a glimpse into daily life in Kiribati.

For travellers interested in local government and culture, staying near the Parliament Building is ideal. You're close to the nation's political centre and can observe the local pace of life. It's a good spot for those who appreciate a quiet, authentic experience.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the coastal road appealing due to its proximity to the ocean and the gentle sounds of the waves.

The best time to go to Ambo Village is during the dry season, which runs from April to October.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny weather and calmer seas, making it ideal for enjoying the beaches and water activities. The temperatures are pleasantly warm, typically around 28-30°C, and there's very little rainfall. This period is superb for all travellers, especially those looking to relax by the ocean or explore the island's natural beauty.

The wet season, from November to March, brings higher humidity and more frequent, though usually brief, downpours. While the island remains warm, the increased rainfall can sometimes disrupt outdoor plans.
