Altea is the jewel of this spectacular region and our apartment is in the heart of the town. Altea is surrounded by olive groves, pine forests and the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the magnificent Church of the Virgen del Consuelo, which can be seen from the terrace. In front of the church is a beautiful plaza lined with restaurants, cafés and bars, from this point there are numerous meandering streets leading to the beach/promenade area. Some of Altea's best Spanish and International restaurants are here. Les plages d'Altea sont constituées de galets mais il est aisé et rapide d'aller profier des plages de sables des communes limitrophes. Calp, Villa Joyosa etc. Ne pas hésiter à tester les restos moins "mode" mais apprécié des locaux (exemple: racon de toni). Vous serez dans un lieu de vie avec des personnes qui résident en permanence sur place. Le respect de ces personnes et de leur lieude vie est essentiel. ##### GREGORY V. As we didn’t hire a car the apartments location was key. It was a 5/10 min walk to the old town with its array of bars & restaurants & about the same to Altea’s lovely seafront, although the walk back up was not as easy in the heat!! There was a supermarket that was 5 mins away which had everything we needed during our stay, it was not one of the big chain ones so was slightly more expensive but it was fine for what we needed, fresh bread, water, meats etc. The apartment had everything we wanted although we ate out most days & evenings you would have no problem cooking a meal if you wanted. The added bonus of having a small pool was a relief on hot days, although there is a strict no use of the pool during siesta time which was 3-5pm. This didn’t bother us as it gave us some rest bite from the heat but may be an issue if you were travelling with children. Overall a great apartment, it was clean & it was all about the location, location, location! ##### Paul T. Bij aankomst deed eigenaresse parkeergarage deur voor ons open voor het parkeren, maar deze was heel smal rond lopend en wij hadden grote auto dus hebben lak schade opgelopen. Auto is te groot voor deze doorgang! Het was spannend er weer uit te komen, als we waren gewaarschuwd voor krapte hadden wij er nooit ingereden! Al met al niet heel tevreden over deze accommodatie. We stayed in early March with our 4-year-old daughter, who absolutely loved it. While the water was a bit chilly for a full swim, she still enjoyed dipping her toes in, and my husband found it refreshing.The hosts have pretty much thought of everything you might need for a holiday, from games and holiday books to outdoor furniture and loungers. The well-stocked kitchen was a bonus, with oil, herbs, spices, and even coffee pods—a thoughtful touch! The provided pool towels were also much appreciated.We stayed for two weeks and felt right at home. If we return, we wouldn’t hesitate to book this accommodation again.
