This trailer is beyond comfortable and has all the comforts of home, with electricity, AC/heat and a septic system (which means flushable toilets). The kitchen is fully stocked, including a full size refridgerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker. We provide some drinking water to ger you started and coffee. It is nestled in the mountains and provides view as far as the eye can see. The night sky is amazing. We stayed in Alma 2\. The location was easy to find and the check in process was simple. This is 60 minutes away from Big Bend National Park entrance and 30 minutes away from Terlingua. The location was convenient to drive, and the stargazing views were exceptional. We were provided with blankets, shampoo, and towels.The only thing that went off was the cleanliness of the home. There were spider webs in the bathroom, the toilet seat was unclean, and the utensils were ripped off. They had provided non sticks pans, but the Teflon coating was scratched so didn't feel good while cooking food there. We really liked the full kitchen and enjoyed having wifi and access to streaming services. I would recommend storing food away because, as you might expect, there are mice that sneak in at night. Bruce, the property manager, was very knowledgeable of the area and suggested restaurants and grocery stores. We tried 3 of the restaurants and they were all fantastic! We had the time of our lives out in big bend and the comfy stay at the soul of the desert accomidated all our needs from A/C to TV. Coffee and water were a plus and so was watching scarface in the middle of nowhere. We plan on going back after we rest for a few months. Water pressure was fine, take a 5 min shower and go back out. We really appreciated knowing about Alma Ranch's non-potable water situation ahead of our arrival and then discovering that the shower barely functioned during our visit, were glad to know that showers are available at Terlingua Ranch Resort. The non-potable water situation kind of bugged us after a while. If I put my toothbrush in my mouth after I rinse it in the water am I going to get sick, probably not but???
