Comfortable stay
Wonderful homely happy place to stay with dogs. Can’t fault it. Loved the touch at breakfast where our pet dog got her own sausage. Comfortable bed and great shower. Couldn’t fault the room and food was great. Had dinner first night and breakfast 2 mornings.

Perfect location for visitors to Alnwick
This hotel is in an excellent location for walking to Alnwick Castle and the lovely town. Our room was spotless, comfortable and spacious. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome, from check-in, to the bar and the restaurant. The food was excellent and we had a lovely evening meal and a substantial breakfast the next morning. Definitely recommend this hotel for an overnight stay in Alnwick.

Good location for a walk into town (15-20 minutes stroll) Very good cooked breakfast. Friendly staff. Evening meal plentiful - bring a good appetite! Comfortable room with super king size bed.

After traveling from East London to greenock in Scotland.. Stopped here over night and had the most relaxing sleep ever even when I'm at home.. breakfast was perfect... Staff were really great and helpful

Enjoyable stay
Nice spacious room and very clean. There was traffic noise but it didn’t worry us. We ate on the patio area 2 nights and the food was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. They did seem a bit understaffed and tables weren’t cleared for a while and the patio floor needed sweeping but this didn’t spoil our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room had everything needed for the stay, food surpassed expectations but the best element of the stay was the service. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and gave the impression that nothing was too much effort. They were all amazing!

A hotel of two halves....
A hotel of two halves.... Good - meal on NY's eve was amazing, so tasty. Well presented large room. Bad - the mattress was poor and the electric shower a dribble that kept cutting in and out... The porridge was inedible. Middle - it's on a busy road junction.

Great stay in Alnwick
Great staff, really good with our dogs. Really nice bar with mixture of modern and tradition. Food was excellent both evening and breakfast. Great location. Only complaint is no decent plug for kettle, but work round it.

Disappointing
Room 32. Smelt of drains in the room. The pipes must be backing up as the shower drained gurgled, perhaps when someone in another room empties a sink/bath(?). Room was relatively clean but long black hairs on the bathroom floor (not mine im bald). The mattress was poor, very soft and clearly a depression where thousands have used before needs replacing. This room was a far cry from the photo as advertised. Bit disappointed. However the staff were very good and food and bar area is great.

Comfortable stay near Alnwick
I stayed at the Oaks Hotel when it seemed to be one of the few available options in June 2021. It was very convenient for Alnwick town and getting to where I was working. Breakfast and food in general (it was one of the only places open on Monday) was good with large portions. My only criticism is a warm room and a bit of a smell from the shower that would be resolved with unblocking. A good stay overall.
