"Receptionist was fantastic when we were checking in. Hotel was in a good location for everything that needed done, shopping trip and a quick visit to Edinburgh. For a small friendly hotel the restaurant was decent value, the bar wasn't expensive and breakfast was good."
"The cottage was amazing, everything we needed and more for a quiet weekend away as a family. The setting was beautiful. The cottage is situated on the site of a wedding venue but it is far enough away to not be disturbed or us not to infringe on the wedding celebrations taking place. A gem of a property that allowed us to just chill. We would love to return in the future."

"We had a great stay at this hotel. The design is really unique and stylish, a mix of different building types set in a beautiful garden. It’s also conveniently close to the airport, which made our travel much easier. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options, and the service overall was very pleasant. But what truly was amazing was the kindness of the staff. My daughter accidentally left behind her small plush puppy dog, which is very special to her and to us. The hotel not only found it, but mailed it back to us. A huge thank you to Chloe, who went out of her way to help, we’re so grateful! Highly recommend this place!"
"We had a 3 night comfortable stay at hotel. The room was clean, spacious and well prepared. Had dinner from the pub every night and their food was great and reasonably priced. There wasn't much needed from the staff but they were friendly professional and helpful when needed. We found the location to be immensely ideal when visiting Edinburgh. 6-7 minute to Livingston North train station with free parking, 2 big shopping centres with many eating options in walking distance,Starbucks right in front.
I would like to suggest the management to pay little attention to the middle access door to the rooms which is noisy specially when there is a lot of guests movement. Maybe a soft close mechanism would mitigate the issue. Also the cosmetic appearance of the rooms could be improved. It would also be a bonus to provide family rooms with some wardrobe, specially for the ones staying few nights.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at hotel."
"Early check in went well and we were shown to our room which had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well.
Only criticism I have is the first impression on entering the bedroom block......was how dirty the carpet on the floor and stairs is which made me wonder if I should have booked the property. But entering the bedroom changed that idea and all was well."
"Ideal location for visiting five sisters zoo and the alpine coaster. Room was dated but was spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. Check in staff were lovely as were the bar staff. Our room was on the ground floor and we were not disturbed from the car park or other guests. Would definitely visit again"
"We loved this house. It’s in a great location for the area and so well decorated. It had everything we needed for 3 couples for a couple of nights. David’s communication was excellent. "

10/10 Excellent
"Place was as described to accommodate our large group. It was about 20 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes into Edinburgh. Lots of eating places locally and shops to eat in. Had all the linens and soaps we needed. Could use some towel racks in the bathrooms and mirrors in the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend place to others looking to explore the area."
"The property is located outside of the city center but not a problem if you have a car. We stayed in a 2-br cottage and the room was warm and comfortable. "
