The best time to visit Chavín De Pariarca is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.During these months, you'll experience clear skies and less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the archaeological site and enjoying outdoor activities. The daytime temperatures are generally pleasant, ranging from 15°C to 20°C, though evenings can be cooler, so a light jacket is advisable. This period is superb for those who want to comfortably navigate the site's pathways and tunnels without the hindrance of mud or heavy rain. For travellers interested in trekking and exploring the surrounding Andean landscapes, the dry season offers the most favourable conditions. The trails are less slippery, and the views of the mountains are often spectacular. This is particularly appealing for couples or solo travellers who enjoy hiking and want to make the most of the region's natural beauty. While November to April is the wet season, with more frequent and sometimes heavy rainfall, it can still be a good time to visit if you don't mind occasional showers. The landscape is much greener, and there are fewer tourists, which can offer a more tranquil experience.
