This is an extremely charming, old property. We used it as our "home" base to explore the Spanish hill towns from, and it did not disappoint. It is indeed a home. Those seeking modern amenities, a bell boy, valet parking, and elevators should not stay here. Those with mobility issues may struggle as well. The room was clean, but these are ancient floor tiles we're talking about - if you need a strong smell of bleach to think of something a clean, this isn't the place for you. Environmentally friendly, toilet paper goes in bin, etc. No tea or coffee in the room, but we did have our own kettle and tea towel with us, as we wanted to make sure that we did not spill water anywhere. Wonderful roof top terrace, where you can see hundreds of swallows, a spectacular, panoramic view. We did not have breakfast here, but we did have some wine, which was excellent. What some describe as "quirky" decor, I call classy and simply good taste. Indeed, the common areas are very welcoming (this is also where you get internet connection). As a couple, we had no issues with the semi-private bathroom, but if travelling as friends, consider getting separate rooms. Words really can't describe how wonderful this place is, you just need to go see for yourself. Park in the public garage and take a taxi, it's not expensive. Our room had an amazing view of the valley below us, and the air conditioning worked like a charm, and it was quiet. Beautiful, high ceilings. I'd love to return someday.
