Fabulous and friendly ..
The staff here at this small independent hotel went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome and ensure we enjoyed our stay. We arrived super late and one of the team stayed til almost midnight to check us in. Considering it was so late she was friendly and considerate. The hotel is packed with charm and is spotlessly clean. The rooms terrace is incredible with superb views. Wonderful.

Unique adorable hotel!
Once we walked down a tiny road with our suitcases we came upon our hotel. Such a cute place with amazing character. We were welcomed with welcome alcohol (not exactly sure what kind) and olives was great. We stayed downstairs and had a lovely room. It has a private patio connected to our room that was amazing. What a beautiful view of the mountains and the fields surrounding this beautiful white town!

Historic building right in the center of the historic part. Comfortable and spacious room. Fabulous View from the terrace on the third floor. Warm welcome by Estefania. No elevator. Access to third floor recommended for those with no issues climbing stairs with luggage. Very nice day.

The hotel is in a beautiful historic home in Arcos. However, it needs some updating. Our room was a tiny space in the basement, very stuffy. The bathroom was smaller than a closet. We were surprised that the breakfast, while very good, cost 10 euros per person since this is advertised as a B&B. The parking is horrific and it would have been good if we had been told just to park in the underground lot and given good instructions to the lot. Trying to park in the old town was impossible. The underground cost 10 euros a day which we weren't told about. Therefore the cost of the hotel was really 130 euros a day. We could have stayed in a nicer place for that amount.

Dear guest, First of all, thank you for your feedback, it is important for us. We inform you now, as we probably did when you checked in, that we emailed you insturctions for parking including explanations for the underground parking as well as the rate for different parking areas. We also gave you some reductions for the underground parking that costs 8€ per night. Since you don't sign your review, we don't know who you are but we can ensure that the rate for the room you stayed in is much lower that 130€ per night. Our house is a historic home as you stated and the space we have is limited but it is in a very sunny and airy area. And we always are improving one thing or another, we are always working on it. Regarding breakfast, we are a one star hotel and not a B&B. Our guests love our breakfast which is a full and good breakfast. We hope you will enjoy your next stay. Best wishes, La Casa Grande

Stay on the top of the mountain with great views!
Arcos de la Frontera was a magical little "white town" half way between Seville and Granada. Be sure you rent a "small" car because getting to the historic center of town and the hotel require passing through some tight streets! Truly a unique hotel set on the side of the mountain side of town. Ask for a room with a patio and you will feel like the "King of the World". Worth a nights stay to see this unusual town.

Just beautiful! We especially enjoyed the terrace overlooking the river and the canyon. We stayed on the top floor apartment which has immediate access to the terrace. The surrounding canyon has an abundance of birds which we thoroughly enjoyed watching while we sipped our wine.

Charming Home away from Home - Shouldn't be missed
This is an extremely charming, old property. We used it as our "home" base to explore the Spanish hill towns from, and it did not disappoint. It is indeed a home. Those seeking modern amenities, a bell boy, valet parking, and elevators should not stay here. Those with mobility issues may struggle as well. The room was clean, but these are ancient floor tiles we're talking about - if you need a strong smell of bleach to think of something a clean, this isn't the place for you. Environmentally friendly, toilet paper goes in bin, etc. No tea or coffee in the room, but we did have our own kettle and tea towel with us, as we wanted to make sure that we did not spill water anywhere. Wonderful roof top terrace, where you can see hundreds of swallows, a spectacular, panoramic view. We did not have breakfast here, but we did have some wine, which was excellent. What some describe as "quirky" decor, I call classy and simply good taste. Indeed, the common areas are very welcoming (this is also where you get internet connection). As a couple, we had no issues with the semi-private bathroom, but if travelling as friends, consider getting separate rooms. Words really can't describe how wonderful this place is, you just need to go see for yourself. Park in the public garage and take a taxi, it's not expensive. Our room had an amazing view of the valley below us, and the air conditioning worked like a charm, and it was quiet. Beautiful, high ceilings. I'd love to return someday.

Excellent views of Arcos
Lovely hotel charmer with excellent views. We were greeted with a glass of sherry. Our room was located at the top with spectacular views of Arcos. Breakfast was amazing and I highly recommend it. Driving to the old town was challenging even with a subcompact car. Be on guard for a guy asking for tips in the parking lot near the church. He's not affiliated with the parking lot.

Very nice hotel. Although difficult to get to, considering the nature of Arcos de la Frontera. Make sure you park and get a taxi at the entrance of Arcos. That will make it easier

Arcos - scenic, friendly, relaxing
Literally a palace. Located high above the cliffs of Arcos, one could easily spend hours lingering on the scenic rooftop or in the comfortable library. Features a stunning atrium, gorgeous tile work throughout, and friendly helpful staff. Be prepared to wheel your luggage up and down one hundred yards of narrow cobble stone streets. Be sure to stay for breakfast.

Wonderful Gem of a Hotel!
This place was amazing! My friend and I did a 2 week road trip from Malaga to Cadiz to Costa del Sol and of all the fantastic places we stayed at we decided this was our favorite. It was a wonderful adventure to get to the heart of this villa and our room was so beautiful, comfortable, our private terrace, beautiful views, a roof top terrace, welcoming hosts, great breakfast. wow ! for us this place as a real gem.

Spectacular view from this little boutique hotel.
My wife, son, and I, spent 2 nights here. It is a small, out of the way hotel and a bit hard to find. Parking isn't easy - you either park in a garage about a half mile away and walk uphill, or you park in the "old town" and struggle to get your car down tiny medieval streets. The hotel is a little gem, though. Small, intimate. Our room, on the upper floor, walked out onto a spectacular view over the patio, which is situated on a 400 foot high cliff. Amazing view. Room comfort was fine, as were the beds. Cost was reasonable. They have Wi-Fi, but you can't access it from your room. Staff was pleasant but we interacted with them minimally, though they gave nice restaurant recommendations.

Happy in the White Towns
Case Grande is a very charming and very old place to stay. The hosts are helpful and gracious and the breakfast very good. The private terraces are small and in need of some tending but the views are superb. There is an open terrace much larger on the roof but shade is hard to come by in the day. The rooms are tasteful but compact. If you are driving, park at the Plaza Andalusa in the lower town...your gps will find it. The walk up the hill is about 3/4 mile so a taxi or shuttle is good if you are weary. We really enjoyed our stay and want to say that the route of the white hill towns is very and easily accessible from Arcos de Frontura. Ronda is the best town in our opinion, but Arcos is very welcoming and home to some nice shops and good restaurants. Beautiful area.

Summer evening at Casa Grande
Recently, my wife and I spent one night at the Casa Grande, along with our traveling companions, another couple from the USA. The hotel was quaint and well-appointed, but our "standard room" was 2 flights up a narrow stairway, through a very low door opening, and across the roof-top patio. Our bathroom was another 3 steps up from our small room, which creates a risk of falling. The hotel is not accessible by motor vehicle, as it is located on a pedestrian walk way. The hotel is really a bed and breakfast in a small, hill top village with great character.

Small-town Spain Perfection
On a two-week vacation through Spain and Morocco, this was my favorite hotel by far. Perched on a cliff overlooking the river, this hotel was the perfect representation of small-town Spain. The ambiance was just perfect as was the two-tiered terrace off our room. Breakfast was plentiful as were restaurants nearby. The courtyard, library, and rooftop terrance which overlooked the cathedral and city were outstanding. GPS won't help you find this place, however, as we actually had a local drive our rental through the narrow streets to our destination.

Charming individual hotel
We were greeted warmly by the hotel owner on arrival and given a welcome sherry while she processed the checking in paperwork, giving us time to explore the courtyard lobby, extensive library and computer room. We were upgraded to a superior room on the roof terrace, which had fabulous views. Our room was full of character and a lovely size - exactly what we were hoping for. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet, so we had a wonderful sleep. Artisan toiletries were provided, adding another unique touch. Breakfast was delicious; local treats and not just the usual buffet staples. Other services available were tapas, a selection of local sherries, massage and yoga - unfortunately we were only there for a fleeting one night so did not experience these, but would hope to return and stay longer. The walls are all adorned with artwork, making the hotel an interesting experience all round.
