Simple little house near the sea with garden and heating, 1 h North of Lisbon.

Our house was built in the 70s and nicely renovated not too long ago. It is the South side of a duplex and has two bedrooms, a large kitchen, a veranda, and a living room. It is surrounded by a small garden. In the back there is a little hut where you can barbequeue and a terrace where you can have dinner outside. The size is perfect for two adults or a small family. The house has central heating for the few colder months. The house is located at the South end of the small sea-side resort Sao Martinho do Porto which has the only natural beach North of Lisbon where you can actually swim in the sea without having to fight with big waves. This is possible because the bay is protected from the open Atlantic by a huge cliff which has a ca. 200 m wide gap letting in the sea water. You need to look at a map to understand this. To this beach, it is a 15 min walk from our house or 3 minutes by car. Also not far away (20 min by car) is the famous town of Nazare where the tallest waves on the planet occur during the winter months. Further attractions are Obidos, Alcobaca, Foz do Arelho, ...
